The absolute best thing about our stay was the shower - the water pressure was amazing and there was always hot water at any time of the day. Best shower I've ever had in Peru. There were two main complaints that I had: First, out King bed was actually two twin mattresses pushed together with King sheets. This was most problematic because our baby sleeps between us and I worried a bit about the presence of a gap between the mattresses. Secondly, even though I knew there was no A/C or heat, which isn't a huge deal with Peru's temperatures, the room stayed very damp. The housekeeper would often open the window for airflow in the room when she cleaned, but we couldn't leave it open in the winter with a baby in the room. I had to wash out the baby's clothes and they hung in the bathroom for DAYS and never dried. I wish that the hotel had offered a dehumidifier or a small space heater to help with this issue. That being said, my family was sick during our stay (we arrived sick, no fault of the hotel) and the staff went out of their way to help us. They loaned us a water kettle and cups to make tea in the room, a power strip to plug things in, and even a thermometer. Sofia from the front desk always asked how we were doing when we saw her. Breakfast was also a nice buffet of bread, cheese, ham, butter, jam, fruit, juice, coffee, waffles, eggs, and cereals. We were very happy with the service at breakfast as well and they had a highchair for the little one. Good value for the price.
