Pleasant surprise - would stay again.
Flight was delayed overnight, so I booked a hotel closer to the airport. Although only there for four hours - it was very nice. Clean, comfortable, and welcoming to a weary traveler at 11PM.

All of the Palmetto staff are excellent. Our taxi took us to the wrong hotel and the staff member was able to get us a taxi to the right hotel. At the hotel, the receptionists were cordial and helpful. When we needed a taxi, they ordered one for us and showed us how to get them. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay here again just for the service alone.

Our stay was okay until staff mishandled our clothes and failed to return them in due time, causing us to leave to another country without clothes because they never returned it (laundry service). Staff apologized and promised to mail it back to the US at no guaranteed time.

Little getaway
The hotel is not situated in a high end neighborhood but a decent place. Hotel itself was very clean, good staff, great breakfast. Room service was limited due to Covid but overall I will give it a solid 8 out of 10

Close enough
Our stay at Palmetto was brief but good we felt accommodated and the place was clean and decent. We needed a place to sleep and regroup for a few hours before heading back to the airport but I wouldn't have used it as my base for Lima. The neighborhood was sketchy at best but it was what we needed at the time.

I had a few family members visiting and I was told by the lady at the front desk that they had to leave the room. They was just visiting because we did not see each other for a long time and it really made me feel embarrassed to tell them that they could not be in the room just for a nice conversation

Nice hotel for the price, close to the airport, It was better than expected, the only drawback was that can be noisy in the evening, however with earplugs I fixed the problem.

Ok for business travelers, but lack of soundproofing let’s other guests, vehicle traffic and airplane noises fill the room. Having carpeting in a room in Lima causes a musty smell due to the humidity. One of the windows did not have a curtain on it, which let in street light. Breakfast was ok at restaurant, but dinner was mediocre with very poor service.

It was a basic room but the only window was into a central stairwell. You couldn’t open the drape without everyone looking in. I asked about a shuttle but was quoted a cost of 15 soles higher than a taxi. They have a restaurant on the 4th floor but we could not find any staff in sight to wait on us or a menu, so we left. The bed was comfy and it was just OK for an overnight for an early flight out in the AM

The area seemed a bit sketchy and the room we stayed in smelled weird. The restaurant has a large menu but they weren't able to even offer us half of the stuff. The staff was nice but the overall hotel seemed depressing.

Too far from everything..
The Hotel building and facilities are fine but its location is a nightmare. Taxis from Lima wont take you to the hotel, when you say that it is in Callao. The neighborhood is not friendly. It is very noisy, even during nights. The lady at the counter knows nothing about taxis fares, distances, location of some important tourist attractions. They dont even have a map of the city available for the customers. When you ask for any service, seat and wait: it will come very late, if they ever come. I almost miss my back flight because they forgot my wake up call and to get me a taxi, as it was arranged the night before.

It looks better in the pictures.
It looked way better in the pictures, we had reserved a room with a Jacuzzi tub and it was supposed to come with a free wine bottle. When we got to the room, no wine bottle and the Jacuzzi tub was dirty and had hairs in it. Nothing compared to what we were expecting. The carpet was stained thought out and only one pillow per person. The rest of the pillows on the bed were the decorative type and possibly never washed as they had a musty smell.

Not a family hotel
I was visiting family in Mirones Bajo, Lima so this location seen to be great. unfortunately, this location seem a little iffy and after staying there for 4 nights with my family (3 yrs old and 11 yrs) it was not pleasant at all .During my stay , people in the hallway were a bit too loud which was a bit inconsiderate since it was after 1 am . But the most disturbing was the loud moaning and groaning . The walls were not sound proof so to avoid having to explain to my kids the noise I just left the tv on . There is no safe in the bedroom as the website advertises . And the extra drinks in the mini bar .i was told at the front desk it was included with my stay but during check out I was charged for it . If I would have known I would have bought from the outside stores at cheaper prices . Overrall I will not come back nor recommend family with kids this location .
