I have generally enjoyed my stays at Palace Inn but this time there were noisy conversations going on at 1am. My bed didn't have a top sheet--front desk person quickly found me one so I could re-make the bed. Surface weren't clean--probably a soap smear on the bathroom counter and the table needed a wipe down. There was a small couch in the room that is falling apart.

One Ice machine in operation in the whole building. The fitness and spa room temporarily closed, since 2020. But overall it was pleasant. Weekend prices on the Oregon Coast is Jacked up so the value for just needing a bed for the night, was inflated. If I needed a hotel to stay in Lincoln City again, it would be an option for a must have a place to sleep.

We travel on the cheap. There was nothing too cheap about The Palace Inn. It was very clean and welcoming, the staff were friendly and professional, the room was immaculate. There was an extra blanket and pillow in the closet (doesn’t sound like much but it is when on the cheap!) They had an amazing spread for breakfast of fresh fruit and muffins, even the coffee was good. Can’t say enough about them. They will be our regular stay when we take trips to the Oregon Coast!

Spacious room, good breakfast (muffins, bananas, coffee), quiet -- perfectly adequate motel for the family. It's as good a location as you can find in Lincoln City (nothing is "central", the city is a miles-long narrow strip). The motel is a bit aged but well-maintained. Access is easy -- both off the street and for carrying stuff into the room. A few amenities had been overlooked (the kleenex box was empty) by housekeeping but the lobby staff was helpful and quick to respond. I'd stay there again.

I had been driving for 10 hours before I arrived into town. I called after 12:30pm to see if there was a chance I could check in early and was told no. 4pm was it. I drove by and there was ONE vehicle in both lots. I sat in my car waiting until 3pm then went inside to sit in the lobby until I could check in. The guy behind the desk never said a word to me upon entering. I sat a few minutes then asked if it would still be 4 until I could get my room? He went and checked and I was able to get in to my room which was cool. My interaction with the front desk guy was bland, as he zero personality. I got into my room. The room looked nice, but the refrigerator didn't work. As far as cleanliness goes, there was dirt in the corners in the bathroom. The fireplace and other areas were dusty. I left the room to get ice and found one ice machine not working. The spa and sauna were also closed for repair. When I checked out the next morning, the same guy with no smile or personality was at the desk. The only good about this place was the price. I'm a simple guy and my expectations aren't that high. I have never written a bad review for any business before this. I didn't want to leave a poor review, but my experience warranted this review.

Really wasn’t sure what to expect after reading the various posts; love or hate it. Wasn’t much to choose for the extended weekend. Found the parking lot open and easy, several ADA spots, which helped me. Lobby was clean and staff were welcoming. The room was much larger than I expected. Clean ! When we return to Lincoln City, we’ll stay here again, pricing was very affordable !!!

Best bang for the bucks!
Wasn’t expecting much as I only needed a place to sleep while traveling down the coast but this place exceeded my expectations as the price I paid is lower than all other places by like 20 bucks or so and I believe I would get similar service and amenities at those other places. It’s an older facility for sure, and upon arrival, the lobby was unassuming, perhaps can be tidied up a little bit, but don’t let that deters you… keep reading! I was then warmly greeted by a very friendly gentleman behind the counter, check in was easy and he explains everything thoroughly. The room itself was spacious and clean, a little imperfections here and there, understandably, mostly due to wear and tear, but everything works and bed was comfortable. The room has a mini balcony with sliding door, a great way to enjoy a nice crisp morning air of Oregon coast. —Not to complain but just so you’re informed before deciding: internet is present but isn’t the best, they have 2 networks available one for each wing (approx. 16 rooms/floor, 8 on each “wing” and there are 3 floors, so… 24 rooms on each network), but still slow if you want to stream anything. Also to flush the toilet properly you’ll need to hold the lever for several seconds, it’s an older model I guess.

I liked the amputee greeter who entertained me for fifteen minutes when no one was there to check me in at four. I also liked the beautiful way he was maintaining the grounds around the parking areas. Better then staff!

No soap in the dispenser in the shower. Someone elses food still in the fridge. Make up on the full length mirror. Went to plug in my charger and found the phone jack wired with bare wires outside of the wall not in an outlet.
