The ocean view was beautiful and the bed was comfy. Other than that, the entire hotel is falling apart, filthy and would have a 1 star review from me but the app shut down and did not give me another opportunity to review. The carpet in both bedrooms was so dirty we would not go without shoes. The dining rm wall had food splatter on it right where you sit to eat. Disgusting! No screens on the bedroom window. The window facing the ocean would not open. That was too bad. The screen on the LR slider was propped up against the sliding door and most of the screen was falling off. Lights were literally falling out of the ceiling. Tears and cracks on the "leather" couch futon making it uncomfortable to sit on. Nobody works in the office so there's nobody there from the hotel in charge. Parties went on all night. It was a free for all for drunks, people fighting, an loud music. We were there for 7 days with no service. We had 4 towels for 2 people for 7 days. When your tolit paper runs out...go to the store. Try to call the help number, nobody answers. The pictures on Vacasa's site are altered and filtered. If you're fine staying at a 1 star hotel but paying 3/4 star prices, this place is for you. Otherwise beware before you book.

You have to use a key to lock/unlock the door. The bed is on wheels with no wheel lock. There’s no insulation on the plumbing, so you hear the flushes of your neighbors. No shower, bath only. Multiple remotes required to operate the TV. No visible presence of property management. No parking unless you turn in early. Haphazard attempt at remodel.

Walls are paper thin, parking is a nightmare, room was not cleaned well as there was still a coffee stain running down the wall, although the bed was comfortable.

The only positive part of the location is the view of the ocean, besides that was very deceived by photos. The walls have different paint cover up spots, the remotes to the tv didn’t have batteries. Plug in by tv didn’t work. Hallway smelt like “ 420 “ all the time. If it were cheaper then wouldn’t be bad but for price I wouldn’t pay for that again.

The site was very unassuming, to access the room was an actual key (refreshing). Entering the room was very welcoming, spacious, clean, cutely laied out with real coffee cups. Nice touch. The ocean view was unabstructed with balcony chairs and one could only hear the ocean not the street/101highway. This is a place that I highly recommend to anyone to experience quality hotel stay.

Our room was really cute with a balcony and nice view of the ocean. We had an issue with the t.v., but the manager came right over and fixed the problem. We purchased a couple items for the kitchen, as they were not supplied in our room and just left them when we left for others to use. The building is older, but you can tell they are working on making things better. The manager was very nice and allowed us a later check out time. We will definitely be staying here again.

Loved the view of the ocean, and reasonably easy access to the beach. Appreciated they were pet friendly. Not as happy with the condition of the property, most notably the mattress in the primary bedroom was old, shaped like a "U" instead of flat, the television remote did not work (even after asking for and receiving new batteries), and there was not any ice (the automatic maker didn't work and there were no trays). The other significant concern was we asked for a late checkout so our kids could complete their morning "distance learning/" online classes before we left, but they would not allow it.

Ocean view was beautiful. The room looked a little outdated, but it does have what it listed on the amenities. The room was semi-clean. I am allergic to dog hair and so i found myself coughing at night in bed. Found a extra towel that was still dirty but was folded neatly under the sink. Walls are thin so you can hear your neighbor walking and talking through the walls at times. The bed and pillows were not comfortable. It needs a little update on many things. Overall it was okay, not the best place ive ever stayed. Will i come back? probably not.

Pics do not match at all
The property was very disappointing- pictures did NOT match site at all. We thought we were getting a house, but was a condo. That would have been fine if the floor wasn’t missing a plank in the kitchen, the deck wasn’t slanted and felt like we could only have 1 at a time on it. The kitchen was tiny, the counter had been painted and is peeling. I could feel every spring in the bed, the kids’ room had no curtain and faced the parking lot, the bathroom had zero counter tops at all, and an extremely small mirror, the tub was dangerously slippery, you could hear the neighbors thru the wall. It’s a good thing we know how to be poor- did not feel like a vacation home all. The location was good, the maintenance guy was nice and helpful. The town was still awesome, but will definitely pick a different place next time. I should have taken my own pictures.

View was not as pictured, trees were over grown with barely a view of the ocean, dog poop on the deck, smelled very musty, extra blanket provided for futon smelled very bad like it had never been washed, the parking was a nightmare there was not enough parking when there should have been, no monitoring of anything, people above us must of had 10 people inside with all the noise happening all night all weekend, will never stay here again, the price was definitely not worth what it was, if you are looking for just a place to sleep and not spend any time in it works. Highly suggest bringing your own blankets if you dare to stay here.

Do not stay here! Room was clearly thrown together, poor craftsmanship and the room was not cleaned! The shower had a ring of slim around the drain, the toilet was leaking and smelled terrible. There was mold in multiple stops on the deck, spider webs hanging all over in the room and bathroom, and the bed was broken. I could go on but I think you get the point.

Just spent 2 nights there
This hotel room was very clean and okay for an overnight stay but not for days. I would say it is more like you are on the road and need to rest. A plus is the balcony and able to hear the ocean. Not very sound proof though and needs repairs badly such as pain, updating boards on balconies above you, be aware also that ground floor means basement, you have to go down two flights of stairs, not handicap accessible. It was okay for what we wanted but not for a long vacation unless you plan to spend not much time in the room and what a cheap hotel. Cleaning people were nice and VACASA did not tell me in any of the emails that to contact the staff to ask questions, you had to go up to the office (which you have to ask someone where it is) and there is a number posted. Our remote was not synced with our t.v. and the fireplace had a wire opened which should have been taped with electrical tape so I would not turn it on, meant to report that and forgot. The coffee pot lid was not fitting correctly, so for cleanliness I give this room an A but for overall building a D.

We enjoyed Lincoln City, even though there are traffic issues. The rooms were clean and in a good location with an ocean view. Due to covid, there is no staff available unless they are cleaning adjacent rooms. It took me two attempts and over an hour of waiting time on hold, to speak with the property manager rep. when we had a problem. There was no communication with anyone regarding the repair, but we believe that it was fixed while we were gone.

I wish we had had time to see the reviews of this place when we booked it to save ourselves from the experience. The photos made it look nice and we thought we were getting a good deal when we booked through hotels.com. Turns out that there is a per-stay fee that was more than the nightly rate and more than doubled the cost of our stay. We tried to hold out hope that it would still be a nice respite in our journey camping up the coast but we truly would rather sleeping on the ground and another day without a shower than the Sandstone Point Hotel. Besides looking rundown and disappointing, the bed broke immediately when we sat on it, the shower didn't drain and the small room smelled so overwhelmingly like cleaning products that it gave me a headache right away. We wanted to keep the patio door open for fresh ocean air (the view is pretty much the only point of recommendation for this place) but our neighbors were camped out with their yappy dogs and talking loudly. We could clearly hear our neighbors talking and snoring through the walls. All in all, VERY disappointing.

Great mini vacation.
It was so relaxing and spitting distance from The beach. The patio having those comfy lawn chairs was a great plus! We left the sliding door open and you can hear the waves crash so clear and perfect. You’re minutes from food, shopping entertainment. I highly recommend this place and would come again soon!

Weekend with a broken leg!
I reserved a room for my wife and I. On the day, we were to check in. I broke my leg and ended up in the hospital. We were able to salvage some of our trip. Sandypoint tried to accomidate me, while its true. I stayed in bed most of the weekend. I was able to make it to the balcony to see the ocean. I enjoyed our time there, even being bummed up a little. I look forward to going back, when I can walk. Thanks for the weekend!

Not a good choice at this time
Be careful about the small print on this hotel. I didn't read carefully enough and my hotel stay ended up costing me double due to a cleaning charge. Also, I had to contact hotels.com twice because of the 100+ dollar fees attached to my stay. My fireplace didn't work, my outside balcony light didn't work, the mattress wasn't comfortable. There isn't anyone at the office so you have to use a lockbox which is a little tricky. And there was a dog in another room that barked until late into the night. There was a mixup on my room and I had to get ahold of several people to get a new room, but that was resolved quickly. One good thing is that the view is really nice.

Great stay
We had a nice time, room clean and the bed was firm. The room was warm so we had to buy a fan. If they had a screen door on the sliding door it would have helped a lot. We had a great view with some beautiful sunsets.

It's a good place to sleep that is close to the beach. The room was pretty comfortable as well. Only negative isn't really that bad. I just feel they could put some money into remodeling or at least finish carpentry and hole/paint touch up. Exterior lighting could also be changed out for corrosion resistant fixtures. Fireplace vent as slot of sharp pointy edges that could be hazardous to small child. All in all it is good, just needs someone to do repairs.

Nice room but NOT an apartment
First, this was NOT an apartment as it has no food prep facilities or eating utensils. As a hotel room, it was comfortable with a goo high view of the ocean on the balcony. The pricing was misleading and confusing as the room price tripled after the "cleaning fee" was tacked on - a thing I missed because this has never happened on Hotels before. Confusing, because when Vacasa actually dinged my charge account, they did not actually take the amount Hotels showed so in the end I didn't feel quite so taken advantage of. Hotels needs to be more honest about this kinds of listings.

Acceptable for a short stay
The unit was good for a 2 night stay for us. It had a nice view of the ocean and was affordable. I was clean and quiet and made a good base camp for our activities on the coast. The parking was very tight and the instructions on how to get to this unit included a lot of stairs. As we were getting ready to load the car to leave we noticed a door next to ours that led right to the parking lot withing stairs. If you rent the unit be sure to look for the "secret" door.

We would love to come back. We stayed in 1-G. It has mini refrigerator and microwave. No front desk like other hotel to get keys. It is ready by the door. Key in the code box. That was what we liked the most.

Our stay was absolutely awesome! The room was extremely clean, beautiful views, and love the whole experience in general. We’ve decided this is our new favorite place to come and escape monthly! The deals for such beautiful rentals is amazing and everything is very convenient to book, check in, and check out! Plus the little extras in the room that they give you! If you’re having a furry friend along, they provide a water dish and leash doggy bag holder, plus doggy towels! Over all, we’re in love!

A nice efficiency apartment
The room was similar to a one bedroom efficiency apartment. Note that the refrigerator is a mini-frig and doesn't hold a lot, but it's a full-sized oven and stove so cooking meals is easy. Also be aware that "Seal Upper" is two flights of steep stairs up (18 steps and then a flight of 14 steps) and not for the easily winded. Good location, easy access to nearby stores and the beach. Sometimes tricky to track down office staff as they were only around intermittently. Good value for the money.
