The proprietor let us in early which was of great assistance. This included the parking permit. We walked to the Cathedral and Castle from the accommodation and did not have to worry about parking time limits etc.

Service given was excellent. We had a front room on a Saturday night. It was warm so window needed to be open as only ventilation. Big issue with drunken groups passing by which seemed to be all night long

Lovely B & B only 15 minutes walk from town. Modern, clean, spacious room and en suite. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast served quickly and hot. Would highly recommend. Quiet area. Parking permits available for all guests. Friendly hosts. Affordable high standard accomadation.

Good but not fabulous when it could be!
Lovely guest house a 20 mins or so walk from the castle. Parking permits provided which was great but cathedral pass no longer available despite being in website. I also didn't have access to the lounge shown in the pictures which was full of junk during my stay. My room was good, well furnished, warm and comfy bed and the shared bathroom was clean and well appointed. As I was the only person staying that night it might have been easier to upgrade me to an on suite though. Breakfast was ok. I went for the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs but what let it down was the toast. Really cheap white bread and spread rather than butter was provided which isn't what you want when you're away. Hostess was lovely though

For one night was comfortable
Being in one of the Garden Rooms although clean and well decorated it was small and had no real wardrobe\draw facilities. This was not a concern for a one night stop, and I found the bed comfortable. Although I did not partake of breakfast but as passing through the dining area this looked very nice.

Great hotel in the centre
Was very close to the centre of Lincoln and in particular is a short walk from the castle. The staff are really helpful and friendly and told us about the best attractions in the area and how to get to them.

Homey Place to Stay in Lincoln
Two seniors on a road trip from California spent one night at the 202 Guesthouse in Lincoln, UK. We were met by the owners who are very hospitable and made us feel quite welcome. We have a car and were able to leave it on the street during our stay with a permit on the dashboard received from the hotel. We had one of the garden rooms on the ground floor and although the room was small it was adequate for one night and there is a lounge and a garden nearby to which one can escape. Our rate included wi-fi as well as breakfast which was made to order at a time we specified; there is definitely a variety to choose from. The location is about a 15 minute walk to the Cathedral and Castle and they give you an uphill short cut so you don’t have to walk up Steep Street. The Guesthouse is also about a 15 walk to the marina where there are restaurants with outdoor seating. Lincoln is a must to visit and we’d stay at the Guesthouse if we came back.

Absolutely stunning
I found the 202 Guest House as I was looking for somewhere to stay which was near to Lincoln town centre. I am so pleased to have found this gem. We arrived in the evening for a social event in town so didn't get to see anyone until the morning but this was fine as our room key was available at the entrance. We stayed in room 10 which has an ensuite and I just kept saying wow over and over as we got into the room. The whole guesthouse is beautiful, very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. We didn't expect to get a parking permit, we just thought we would find somewhere to park nearby so this was an excellent suprise, especially as we managed to get parked right outside. Breakfast was included in our stay which was very nice and we enjoyed sitting in the cosy dining room. It took us ten minutes to walk into town, a very easy straight walk which gets you to the bottom of Steep Hill. We especially like the world map in the entrance which shows where visitors have come from and I the extra toiletries are a nice touch as I forgot my make up wipes! I am so chuffed to have found 202 and we will look to stay here every time we come to Lincoln from now on.

Garden Room
A friend and I stayed at 202 for a night out in Lincoln. Only 10 - 15 mins walk to the centre so just far enough away from the noise but within easy reach of restaurants along the marina and bars in the centre. We had a garden room, which felt like our own private little oasis. The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful with advice and setting up music, ice and nibbles in the garden for us to enjoy a g&t before we left for our evening out. Breakfast had a choice of cereal, fruits yoghurt, toast and full English. More than enough to start the day. We would totally recommend the 202 Guest House and will be using it again when we return.

Quaint b&b with a personal experience
Me and my husband stayed here in July to attend a friendly football match. The check-in was very easy and fast and we were given a permit in order for us to have free parking outside the b&b. The host showed us to our room (which was in the garden) and gave us a run down of everything at the b&b which was very helpful. The garden room had a bedroom, private toilet and wet room. It was very clean, modern, comfortable and felt very homely. I would highly recommend staying in the garden room! We had access to the garden at all times which was full of trees, bushes and flowers. Lots to take a lot at. There is also a conservatory that you have access to at all times. It has a comfortable sofa with tea and coffee facilities. We got free breakfast (hot and cold) included in our stay which was very delicious. The chef was great! Checking out was very fast and easy. We were told about the issues the b&b has faced with the previous people that ran the b&b but it was so nice to still see the new host smiling and honest about the situation. I would highly recommend staying here and we would certainly go back!

The 202 Guest House was more than we expected, from a warm reception when we booked in, with all the information important to us. The Guest House was very quiet, considering the busy road next to it. The room was more than we expected for the price, newly refurbished, to a high standard. Very comfortable bed, but no staff about
Really lovely room, nice and clean and very comfortable. We didn't see a member of staff the whole time we were there though, check in was finding a key left next to your name in the hallway when you arrived. Also didn't get any of the supposedly included breakfast as it snowed overnight and staff "couldn't get to work." Not sure why this meant they couldn't have just popped some bread out by the free toaster anyway. Overall a fine stay, didn't spend much time there as we were out and about.
