"It’s a beautiful small property with a very cool design. Fairly rustic though and with a bit of a farmhouse feel and therefore maybe not for everyone. Managers and owners Giacomo and Paola are both fantastic. Giacomo in particular was a superstar, passionately speaking about the wines of the winery and the region, giving us great restaurant recommendations and really going above and beyond with a smile. "

We only stayed one night which was not enough, next time we are staying way longer. This place is great if you want quiet luxury and a base to explore Catania and the many winieries around Etna. "Our stay at Koru was nothing short of exceptional. The lodge was comfortable, spotless and equipped with all amenities (even a heater and a/c). "this hotel is a treasure. The proprietor and his staff are wonderful and gracious. There is even a dog on site. Be aware it is not close to the beach by foot and is down the hill from Tower Meena so you need a car or will rely on taxis. You may be very glad you stayed outside of the city walls because it is calm and beautiful here."

"Location was beautiful. Property was outstanding. Room was stunning. Definitely 5 star elements. Be mindful that the hotel is on the water in Capotaormina and the town of Taormina is quite a hike uphill to get to. Hotel offers free shuttle service, but it's not continuous (gaps out for a few hours after lunch for some reason) and you need to reserve a seat there and back. The public bus is very convenient to take you there, but you need to be mindful of what stop to go to when you leave the hotel (there are two). Use the front desk, although they aren't as helpful as one would expect from this type of property. Even though this was the most 'luxury' of the hotels on our trip (5 hotels), the breakfast wasn't up to par."
