Overall a decent hotel in the old Alfama district of Lisbon. My room is clean with a nice view of the river. My only complaint is the shower. It’s missing a partition and water splashes all over

Hotel is very nice and clean. Rooms are big for Europe. There's internet and TV in every room. They have a kettle and water too in every room Good breakfast too. Depending on the rate you get it might or might no be included. If you don't get it you can pay there too. Xiomara was very helpful in getting us a driver to get to Fatima. She also helped us to get info to tour the city. They have a pick up service from and to the airport. Things to keep in mind the hotel is in a hill so if you want to walk out you have to go up hill or take a car. But the hotel is very close to the castle of George and restaurants and souvenir shops. There's no parking in the hotel so don't rent a car. You can uber or take regular taxi.

Conveniently located and service was exceptional. Receptionist 24/7 and rooms are beyond clean. The few issues were that it was clearly a handicapped room with a chair - but no table, with a shower - but not above you, and all other supporting bars and equipment. Made us feel like it was a hospital room, not a hotel.

Great location. Close to Alfama and restaurants. Walkable to almost everything. The staff were wonderful and accommodating. Clean rooms. The AC was probably not working but we managed. Otherwise it is a great hotel. Would recommend this.

This is an old convent turned into a hotel. It’s lovely, the staff is kind and and good amenities. We only had an issue with the trolley goes through the road behind the property so if your window is open you hear it and it would be hard to sleep

We loved our stay at Convento, even though we had a rough start, we were lost for about 2 hrs because Uber did not know where it was and the building is not clearly marked from the place were we were dropped off, it is off the main street in a road that has no access, I had to call the hotel in order to get clear directions, they should write it on property information. After that we x checked in and all was smooth sailing, staff is absolutely great and super helpful and welcoming, from the front desk person to the breakfast staff, breakfast by the way was great with plenty of choices, thanks so much and will highly recommend!

This is the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at. Rooms are somewhat compact but very well set up. Kettle with tea and instant coffee in room. Instant hot water for showers. Excellent breakfast buffet daily from 7-11. Super convenient location in Lisbon’s Alfama district. We highly recommend!

I was really excited about our stay at this hotel based on other traveler reviews. Our experience was not great. To start with the positives: the lobby is nice and modern, and the breakfast was very good. The hotel is bright and clean. The room size and bed were fine. However, the hotel did not meet our expectations, primarily because of the unhelpful concierge staff. The staff was nice but we felt that the information they gave us was very "basic" and useless. For example, the map they gave us was a photocopied black/white map, and it was hard to see anything on it. We asked about information for Hop-on/Hop-off buses/trams etc. Surprisingly, they didn't have any info and simply told us to go to a nearby minimarket for more info. We had just come from an excellent hotel in Porto (Ribeira Douro) where the staff was exceptional and really went out of their way to help us. We felt the exact opposite here and it definitely impacted our experience in Lisbon negatively. We didn't love the location, but that might have been because we didn't get a lot of guidance about what to do and where to go nearby. Finally, on a more minor note, I would strongly recommend that the hotel include conditioner in the showers. I was surprised there wasn't any.

I purchased the night via Expedia and arrived at the property at 9pm. There was no parking, there was no access to the property and I called several times and nobody answered. I had to fund an other hotel to stay so I did not stay here. I called Expedia to cancel and they told me the hotel did not want to cancel. I need to get a refund for NOT using the hotel .

The hotel is located in the old town of Lisbon. It was a great experience to walk around to explore beautiful streets and buildings. The two-story room layout is perfect for a family with kids. And the breakfast was awesome. Highly recommended!

Rooms are extremely small. You cannot control the temperature in your room. We went in December and the heat was on. The room got so hot we were forced to open the windows and hear all of the noise at night. When we spoke to the hotel staff we were told that there was nothing that can be done and if we wanted we could find another hotel (hotel directors advice) Unreal the options they provide for comfort. We will never stay there again and I would highly recommend you stay away.

This was in the old part of town taking an Uber cannot stop in front of the hotel do u do have to walk a bit down hill to get the hotel that is tucked away. Better to make arrangements with the hotel to and from airport very reasonable in comparison to a Uber. Staff is very helpful and friendly especially the front desk. Will stay again love the location and the quaintness of the hotel. Also very clean!

Excellent Hotel
An excellent hotel! This was my first visit to Europe, and I understood very little of the Portuguese language. I prepared ahead of time, but still made a few stumbles along the way. The staff at Hotel Convento do Salvador consistently offered guidance and help when needed. Thank you very much for your kindness and patience.

Lovely hotel in the middle of Alfama. If you are driving by car, make sure to contact the hotel for a code to get into the street where the hotel is at so you can drop your luggage. They will give you a name for the closest paid parking. Parking on the street is really hard (hard to find and very narrow streets)

Stayed for a quick overnight trip. Staff was lovely, especially Fatima who checked us in. Hotel is modern, clean and located nearby fados and a Miradouro. If traveling to the hotel by car, note that only taxis and residents will be able to drive on the road of the hotel entrance. Ubers cannot drive down that road so you will have to bring your luggage down a short cobble street.

La habitación muy bien y el desayuno. Mi única queja es que por la ubicación del hotel, la altura y la estrechez de la calle, los taxis te dejan fuera del área. Para llegar al hotel el primer día, subimos caminando y fue terrible por el tipo de calle y todos los escalones que había que subir.

Great place to stay in Lisbon
I thought the service and staff were excellent. Check in and out went seamlessly. I asked a member at the front desk about the location of a castle, and he provided a map as well as the hand written path to where I was going. Breakfast was excellent wit a good choice of eggs, cereal and fruits. Five Stars!
