The plug in the bathroom sink was inoperable making the sink unusable. Despite calling for its repair, this was. not done as the handyman did not work on weekends and then called in sick on Monday. To be fair we were offered a different room on the 2nd day, but as they hotel always said that it would be reported we did not change rooms. The only thing that marred a great stay.

This was a fabulous hotel, with great location, clean and modern in a beautiful old structure with lots of character l. Had very friendly and willing to help staff. Good value for money. Would defiantly recommend it to anyone.

Lisbon Hotel
This is a very quirky hotel that we enjoyed enough to return to because our return flight was out of Lisbon. Each room is more like a one bedroom apartment, with a separate living area and kitchenette. It was great having extra space after living in one-room hotels. Nice bathroom with good products. The location is great. Valerie and Ruben, who greet you at the front desk, are wonderful as was the restaurant staff. We were greeted like old friends on our second visit. There’s music nightly in the restaurant which we loved. I would stay here again.

The property was beautiful. We loved our room and the location. What we didn't like was the restaurant on the bottom floor. We ate there one night and the server we had was extremely rude. He acted like he was very put out we were there to eat and didn't treat us very well. It's was very disappointing.

Room maintenance was very poor
The room is tiny. The door handle to the bathroom is broken. We try to call down but the phone does not work at all. It takes the front desk guy 25 minutes but he can't fix the door. Some of the light switches don't work. There is a nice desk but no nearby power plug. The three of the power plugs in the rooms don't have any electricity. These are obvious issues in the rooms that should have been noticed and taken care of. We ask if we can have another room. They tell us not until tomorrow. We were only here for a weekend getaway and this hotel did a lot to try to ruin our weekend. There is not even any complimentary bottles of water and dental kits only when asked for. For $265 a night which is at the very high end of hotels in Lisbon, you should be get something a lot better.

Unfortunately, sometimes problems arise that we cannot solve at the moment, but we always try our best to make the customer feel good. We could not move you to another room at the time because it was late in the day and we were fully booked, but we left a room ready the next day since morning to make the change. The room problems have already been reported and steps taken to resolve what was not well. Unfortunately being a short stay, we did not have the opportunity to show you a little more of our services so you could have a better experience, so we hope sincerely for a new visit from you to get a different idea of our hotel and an experience to remember, for the best reasons! Wonderful location with an excellent restaurant. In the heart of Lisbon this small hotel feels like a hidden gem tucked only one block off Avenue de Libertes. Highly recommend

A great hotel in a great location
What an amazing find this place is. The location is perfect - just a across the road from Rossio Station, but the service and quality of the rooms made it even better. The decor is superb, the room we stayed in (a family one) was large and comfortable and the staff couldn't do enough to help. It was our son's 3rd birthday while we were there and without us even telling them, we came back from a day out to find celebratory drinks and a mini cake with candles! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and we will definitely stay there again.

The place is new and the decoration and finishing is very nice. It is definitely understaffed and the breakfast was much less than expected with one person serving all the tables which caused lots of delays and repeated errors in orders. The room door was not closing and the solution provided was to slam the door as hard as possible and this caused neighboring rooms to complain nit to mention that this is not secure. 2 days without a bathroom as the maintenance was outsourced and is not available. I was not even offered an alternative room and I had to ask for it, still my request was denied. I am not sure if the management team and owners of the hotel are serious about their business. The neighborhood is crowded and the location is very close to so many attractions but I will not consider another stay in this place due to the lack of professionalism.

The staff was extremely helpful especially Valerie who assisted in planning our city’s trip. The room was clean and a joy to stay. The breakfast was good except the omelette was prepared poorly. Staff at the restaurant was very helpful. Most convenient to every place you want to see in Lisbon. Highly recommended for a brief or long stay

We loved O Artista, starting from the very moment we arrived and were greeted so helpfully by Valeríya and María da Paz at reception. They provided very clear information about parking, and from then on they assisted us in so many ways that optimized our first visit to Lisbon (directions, tour bus info, etc.). They are delightful! The hotel's location is primo, right in the heart of central Lisbon, so it's easy to walk to many main attractions, and the breakfasts are excellent. We are already recommending O Artista to friends who are planning visits to Lisbon and would definitely stay there again ourselves in the future. Our only recommendation is that the website might include better information about finding the hotel when arriving by car (since the hotel's main entrance is on a pedestrian-only street).

It was amazing to have fresh pastries delivered to the room each morning. Combined with the yogurt, cheese, deli meat etc in the bar fridge and the in-room nespresso machine there was no need to go out for breakfast

Fabulous hotel with personal touch in the centre.
One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The suit with the kitchenette is just fabulous. They bring you everything for breakfast to your own fridge with baked goods on your door handle. The staff is really service minded and will bring you whatever you prefer, sometimes there were some small glitches but they were fixed. The location is perfect for touring Lisbon, the room is large with sound proofed windows, everything is new and very clean, thank you Valery in the reception for all your good advice. The restaurant is also very good but it is slow cooking so it takes time.

Loved the hotel!
The hotel is in a great location in the old town of Lisbon. Many restaurants nearby. Lots of shops also, and it is a 10 minute walk to the shore line.

Excellent, very helpful staff, comfortable hotel. Standard rooms OK for a couple but if can afford the little extra, a studio or suite is worth for the additional space. restaurant good. Area a bit noisy, especially at weekend, but that's the centre of Lisbon. Can close the windows / shutters for a quieter room at night.

This boutique hotel was such an amazing find! The best, most helpful staff and in a really great location for exploring the old part of Lisbon. We didn't much mind the rainy day we had as we got to spend more time in our room! It isn't often we find a hotel we really want to revisit but this is one, and have recommended it to our friends and family!

Wonderful stay! The staff are so helpful and friendly and the hotel has been decorated and styled to a high standard. As soon as you walk through the door, you know that you’re going to have a good stay. We had a room on the third floor, 3A which meant we had a view of the castle from our room.

Great new option in Lisbon
Recently opened, beautifully renovated. Very friendly staff who helped with a booking error on my part. Large rooms with kitchenette and courtesy minibar.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Staff are warm, friendly, polite and informative. Service anticipatory and helpful. Rooms are clean, quiet, function well, and designed very well. Location is central and convenient. Views are nice with sunset and moonrises visible. Ensuite breakfast is a fantastic feature because it lets you relax and ready for your day in your environment.
