What a lovely hotel. Family owned and you can feel it. The front desk was so helpful with the best recommendations. Little treats in your room with a hand written note welcoming us. Rooms were immaculate. Hotel was immaculate! Breakfast was beautifully displayed and yummy. I wish all hotels were this special. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Lovely little restaurant on the property with a delicious array of items on the breakfast buffet plus a full kitchen to serve you hot food if you'd rather. All staff are supportive and a pleasure to work with. Charming location and convenient to tram 28E. Wonderful spotfrom whoch to walk.

We booked Sao Vicente Alfama after reading previous reviews and scores and we weren’t disappointed. Prior to the actual holiday we received regular emails from the hotel asking if they could do anything for us prior to our arrival. From arrival to departure, nothing was too much for the staff, especially at reception from restaurant and places of interest recommendations. The hotel and room were spotless and well appointed. A very comfortable stay, would definitely recommend

I found São Vicente Alfama to be a very clean and comfortable hotel with truly lovely staff. It was my first solo trip abroad and I felt safe and well looked after by the kind, helpful and patient staff. Lovely buffet and cooked breakfasts (including a birthday surprise one morning!). Alfama is an area made up of very steep streets so if staying here be prepared for that. Having said that the famous tram 28 services the area. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when visiting Lisbon. It felt like a home from home. Sonia

One of the nicest hotels i've stayed in. In a hilly area with limited car access - so be aware if you aren't up for walking or have heavy luggage. Within a 30 minute walk of lots of great sights in Lisbon. Breakfast is great, and the restaurant does a good dinner as well.

Service and staff at this hotel were excellent. Room was clean,modern and comfortable. Complementary breakfast was excellent and for nearly all things this was a great hotel for the price. Only complaint was our room was located right across from a restaurant that was open until midnight and at times was quite noisy

We recently stayed at this hotel for 3 night s and had the best experience! It is situated in a lovely area with good transport links and the staff made it a memorable experience. We’ve never stayed in a hotel where the staff has been so welcoming and attentive. Our room was great with so many special amenities. It’s located in the old section of Lisbon, away from the busier sections of the city. Loved our stay here. Oh, and a wonderful breakfast was included. Incredible people, food, and place.

The staff were both attentive and so very friendly. Every need was not only met but exceeded. I can recommend this hotel highly!

I loved this hotel from the moment we entered after 24 hours of travel. The place is beautiful and the staff are the friendliest we’ve encountered in a long time. There are so many small touches to make a stay wonderful. I didn’t want to leave!

This was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. As an American traveling Europe we this was easily considered a 5 star hotel. The service was unlike any I've ever had before. The breakfast was incredible and the staff went above and beyond for any little thing you could need or want. Amazing stay. The snack bar is incredible and the welcome upon arrival is unbelievable.

From the instant we entered this charming and extremely well-appointed hotel in the midst of the twisty-turny cobblestone streets of Alfama we were greeted and treated with unsurpassed warmth and hospitality. The staff are incredibly helpful, pleasant, and eager to please. The hotel is generous in all ways, and the little touches (complementary Portuguese treats welcoming us in our room, sweets and ice water and bubbly available in the lobby, cute little printed cards with information about a different local point of interest left on our bed each day) really were appreciated. Breakfast (both buffet items and prepared à la carte) was delicious. The coffee….SUPERB. Thank you for a delightful start to our Portuguese adventure.

Though rated our experience very highly, not sure an enhanced rate for their "DE LUXE" room would incur a rendered wall 5 meters immediately in front of the window blocking out any views (of the attractive neighbourhood alleyways), or that a request for "as quiet a room as available" would expose us to noisy wheely bins being manoeuvered on cobbled streets in the early hours, often accompanied by (unrelated) loud shouting/ revelry (from local residents?) Suggest potential guests aim to secure rooms on floors as high up as possible to put some distance between these occurrences with better chances of a reasonable view. Notwithstanding, friendly, helpful customer service second to none.
