"I am a solo traveler and when I arrived I had to carry my own bags to my room. There are no golf carts and I wasnt told until after taking my own bags to my room that they had people to take my luggage. I wish that service was offered to me. The first room I was given was so outdated. Wet mold spots on the wall paper, the lamp was broken and leaning on the curtain and there was a huge red stain in the sink along with stains on the toilet seat. The rooms were really outdated. They gave me another room and honestly there was the same issues. I just accepted it bcuz it was my birthday. The staff did not have my room decorated upon arrival although I called multiple times before I arrived to ensure my room would be decorated for my bday and they did it when I checked in so I had to wait to go in my room to change and enjoy my vacation bcuz they were still in my room. The manager resolved that issue with no problem. The last incident I had was at the bar. One of the young ladies was very snappy and rude her name was Anilka Garcia. She referred to me as her 'girl' multiple times and I had to remind her that we are not friends and how unprofessional it was. I requested her manager and he didnt do anything. I wont be staying here again. "

"We stayed in a 2-bedroom garden view villa. The grounds are very nice, yet the pool at the resort itself (not the ones at the beach club, which is a totally separate area) looked abandoned and not well-maintained. The villa was generally clean, but there was A LOT of wear and tear. There is nothing the resort's cleaning staff can do with the state of the villa; it needs a renovation. This is not a 4-star property for sure (though I am quite confident it was 5-7 years ago); now it gives a 2-3-star feel. Everything that can be scratched is scratched; everything will benefit from an extra coat of paint or two; windows and doors are either not working or working funny. As other reviewers mentioned, the AC works in bedrooms but not in bathrooms or the living area. This was an architectural decision that has pros and cons - you just need to be aware."

"They my under construction but besides that the inside looks wonderful don’t judge a book by its cover. The pool looked nice I feel like once every thing is done getting built it will look even more amazing."

"Poor meals choices. Food was very salty, tasteless. Recycled lunch menu for dinner. Food was not label so you had no clue what you were eating. Staff attitude stinks especially front desk staff. Hyaat needs to do something with this resort as it is a slump. "

"We had a wonderful stay at One Mambo by Bocobay. Everything was excellent—the property is very modern and kept in great condition. We truly enjoyed every aspect of our visit. The only minor downside we noticed was the lack of an outdoor changing room near the pool area. Other than that, it was a fantastic experience and we would definitely recommend it!"
