"It was nice to stay in an environment I can call a second home! The grounds were clean, the room was perfect. All was clean. Why stay at a hotel when you can stay at a very nice property like this one. It is close to all the amenities, restaurants, etc. The prices are also excellent. Gloria has a nice team and manages the property well. "

"My wife, son, and I had an excellent and memorable stay here. Our room was spotlessly clean, thanks to the fantastic housekeeping team, and the showers were incredible—it felt just like standing under Victoria Falls! The food was great, particularly the breakfasts and the poolside restaurant. However, I would have loved to see more local Zambian dishes on the standard restaurant menu. That said, the evening cultural show was a highlight, offering a wonderful display of Zambian culture alongside delicious traditional food. The hotel’s location is unbeatable; we easily walked to Victoria Falls three times and even took a day trip across the border. Additionally, the staff was highly helpful in arranging our airport transfers and excursions.
Another highlight is the animals roaming around. It's quite the experience to be lounging by the pool and have a giraffe standing next to you. Or looking out your window to see baboons or zebras.
We would definitely return."
Royal Livingstone Victoria Falls Zambia Hotel by Anantara
10/10 Excellent
"This place was relaxing and exceptional. Staff were very helpful including assisting with animal viewing on the property. Restaurant prices are very high and food was average (although we didn't eat in the fine dining Restaurant). Breakfast had a wonderful choice.
Views of the river, the thunder and spray of the Falls, together with easy walking and (free) access to the Falls (Zambia side) was great. The animals around the property made it more of an experience than just a luxury hotel. We would love to come back."
"The hostel itself is great and I really like it. Is very well located, has great vibe and very helpful staff. There is a kitchen, bar/restaurant, swimming pool, lots of sitting space available, very clean and well maintained bathroom and toilets and lots of power sockets available. The internet is decent. Really lots of very positive things about the hostel.
There is one negative thing though. We stayed in a private room. The room itself is pretty bad and needs urgent renovation. The mattress was good, but that's it. Doors have an issue closing it, no air conditioning (luckily we were in winter time), dirty walls and ceiling, pretty bad other furniture and quite tight room for a couple.
I'd have given 5* if the private room is better."
"It has been 9 years since my first stay here and it never disappoints. My favorite place to stay in Zambia. Its clean, quiet and includes a made to order breakfast. The staff is so warm and welcoming. Kennedy is wonderful!"
"Fantastic staff and convenient location in relation to the airport. There is a curio market right next door for those interested in shopping. The hotel is on the street so daytime street noise is inevitable, but it is very quiet at night. The room is clean, though basic. I enjoyed a very good stay thanks to the gracious and helpful staff. A special callout to Allan."
"We loved the ambiance and the authentic African vibe of the hotel. The view of the Zambezi River is just gorgeous and the grounds and restaurants are
lovely with very tasty food at reasonable prices. We took advantage of the spa and I had both a facial and a massage that were very relaxing and I would highly recommend. The activities director was very helpful and made our stay effortless as we toured both sides of Victoria Falls, Chobe National Park, The David Livingstone museum and went on a lovely sunset cruise on the Zambezi River which is a must do !!"
"Awesomes staff, courtyard, pool and restaurant. Lost a point because of the noisy bar nearby, very dated rooms and noisy roof (figs falling on metal roof at night kept waking me up)."
"What an amazing stay in Livingstone! Silvia and Stanley made our stay easy and we felt very welcomed. Kamunjila is a little slice of paradise -- relaxing, low-key, and friendly. My friends and I hope to be back one day!"
