What a fantastic place to stay. Centrally located within the historic pedestrian zone in Ljubljana and providing easy walking access to all places of interest. We had an apartment within this historic palace with a very comfortable bed and separate basic cooking/lounge/eating area if required. The reception staff recommended great places to eat and visit. It was also very close to French Revolution Square which is a main pick up point for various tours. Would highly recommend for your visit.

Beautiful room in very close proximity to the heart of town. Good food and cafes in all directions. Very central location but also secluded, not noisy at all. Would highly recommend for a stay in Slovenia, staff is also super friendly. Would highly recommend!

Holiday Ljubljana Stay
Visited for a wedding down the street in mid December. The woman at the front desk was very kind and helpful checking us in. Rooms are in the courtyard of a lovely old building. We had a room facing the castle on the top floor. Cozy two room apartment which was perfect for our stay. When we checked out, we left our bags with the man working the front desk while we walked through the Christmas markets one last time. He was funny and nice and encouraged us to stay longer. We will be back. Overall a great place to stay for the cost in the center of Ljubljana.

Right in the heart of Ljubljana and a walk from the train station. The Staff met us at the front and gave us a great rundown of recommended places within the city. The room was clean and airy and we enjoyed our time!

Delightful stay in a great location
Our second visit to Barbo Palace, in fact we declined the hotel that came with our tour package to stay here instead. Just such a lovely place to stay, beautiful, spacious, and right in the heart of the city. Thoroughly recommended.

Loved staying here. Such an elegant and spacious atmosphere right in the centre. I was sad to leave. Even the shower gel was very good quality.

Barbo’s Palace is a wonderful old apartment building. It’s right in the heart of town. I had a great stay there. The staff was wonderful. The location was excellent. It has an elevator for people with a lot of luggage. It’s a around the corner from wonderful cafes, bistros, and gelato places. I would definitely stay there again.

Fabulous gem in Ljubljana
Loved, loved, loved this property! We could have moved in for awhile, and been very happy! The staff was so friendly and helpful, the apartment was spacious, clean, and very, very comfortable! And the location was fabulous! It is no wonder that it's hard to get a booking here!

The staff went out of there way to accommodate some last minute changes meaning switching rooms partway through. They made it as convenient and quick as possible. Everyone was always pleasant and friendly. The rooms are a fantastic blend of vintage with modern bathrooms. The kitchette was easy to use and to keep clean.

Amazing stay. Was spotless. Check in was seamless. Charming apartment was so fitting to the surroundings. Location was fabulous. Had issue with hot water but owner came straight out was so apologetic he replaced it that day and gave us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience which was appreciated cannot fault this place it’s a must . Thankyou for an amazing city break

The location ist quite excellent and at least our room had a view on the castle which was quite nice. I especially liked the property itself - nicely renovated and modern rooms in a historic building. Numerous cafes for breakfast within a few minutes walk.

if you don't need to someone servicing you all the time it is the perfect place' it is a heritage palace in excellent location, extremely clean very quite, cooking facilities if you want, and Natasha will give you her WhatsApp number if you need, no complaints at all

Look no further!
Amazing place , with even better location. Very clean and comfortable. I disagree with all negative and in my opinion silly comments - like squeaky floor, or no shower gel ( very good shower gel/ shampoo Italian brand prija is provided). Everything you need in the kitchen is there ( even some thing you cannot find in most European apartments) Heating is great in winter. Clean towels and slippers provided too. A little Mercator convenience shop is 50m towards Kongresni Trg. Great Bistro Monsterna is in the same street 20m away. All in all nothing to fault. Even the price is great.

Stay in a palace with views of a castle
Our stay at Barbo Palace was wonderful from booking until checkout. We requested information about parking nearby when we booked and were provided with very easy to follow directions. It is located in the pedestrian area of the old town, so no immediately adjacent parking..but this makes it a better place to stay for exploring, and public parking was not far, and it was safe. We also requested a baby cot, which was waiting for us in the room. Check in was great, it was very fast and friendly and we were accompanied to our room to show us anything we might need. The room itself was fantastic! We stayed in The Castle View No. 2 apartment, and there was a castle view from every window, a nice bathroom, kitchenette with basic dishes and pots and pans, and a comfortable sitting area with good WiFi. This property was an extreme value for what we received and would stay here again in a heartbeat if we return to Ljubljana!

Very nice
Great from check-in to check-out. Nice space for a solo traveler. Kitchenette was helpful. Lots of outlets and light switches around each room - very convenient. Only suggestion is to put a light in front of the door to the building - it was a little hard to see where to put my key.
