It's was an experience we wanted, to stay in a castle. The Ruthin Castle has a ton of history. It's a bit run down but I guess that could be the charm. The Wild Pheasant Hotel & Spa
We had the Spa to ourselves which was nice. Breakfast was good, room was clean, apart from dirty tea cups, a lot of damp around the window . Staff were all lovely

Spacious 3 Bed Log Cabin in Snowdonia
There are no shops nearby unless you have a car. Very secluded area perfect for a weekend getaway from laptops! The hosts are very responsive.
