Performing on the Castle Lawn in front of Aldourie Castle, with Loch Ness as the backdrop BAND at ALDOURIE CASTLE (Thursday evening) - the Band entertained at a private event at Aldourie Castle on Loch Ness-side and completed the performance just as the first drops of rain arrived up Loch Ness. As ever, Band timing was immaculate - we missed the deluge by a matter of minutes!

1,000 views on 14th December 2013 The yellow bushes are whins (gorse) on the slopes of the opposite side of Loch Ness. The Pipe Band played at a private engagement at Inverness's very own fairytale castle this evening. The weather was windy and raining, so thankfully it was possible for the band to play indoors in the Castle Hall. Great welcome on arrival. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Traveling with a wheelchair and a dog isn't always the easiest of journeys, but we all felt very welcome, including Peat the dog. Accessible room and bathroom were both excellent. Always enjoy our stays here to visit the grandkids.
