"So much space compared to the other hotels I stayed at on this trip, very comforting that it felt like being in a home, bed was very cosy, kitchen was great, this was my favourite stay in our Scotland trip. "

"Pier view is a lovely little house with everything that you will need in a home from home. The views from the property are amazing and Mesmerising. There is plenty to see and do in the area too with walks and botanical gardens close by and not to far away from supermarkets and shops if needed. Would highly recommend if you
just want to get away from it all and relax."

"This is the worst place I have ever had the misfortune to stay. On arrival I could see that the building exterior was very tired. The decking was past its best and the key box was broken and the smell was dreadful as I opened the door. Tried to keep an open mind went to open windows but the bathroom and one bedroom didn’t open at all. It all needed a good clean so put the immerser on and waited, I am still waiting. The boiler remained stone cold for the duration of our stay. Escalated this to...

"Lovely little cottage. Cosy and quiet, yet less than five minutes from ferry. Ideally located for exploring the local area and taking in the stunning landscape."

"We loved our stay here. Our hosts had thought of everything! Groceries on arrival including salmon smoked locally on the island. Would recommend to anyone visiting this part of Scotland. "

"All staff lovely, amenities great, room very clean. Previous guest’s lipsal left under bedside table, strangely but other than this immaculate.
Very dog friendly at dinner and bar. Very responsive staff. A proper luxury hotel. Food and wine really good."
"Relaxing two nights with excellent food and service.
It was a frosty two nights and our en-suite bathroom suffered a wee bit from lack of heating but otherwise a superb stay "
"Room was gorgeous - we stayed in the Arran & it had such old style Scottish charm and a gorgeous standalone bath.
The staff at check in was lovely too.
Would come back again "
"Excellent stay for 2 nights as a base to mooch about, eat tasty foods, drink and relax. Staff were brilliant and super friendly, and a nod the manager too for being very observant and attentive (to needs we didn’t know we had!). Nice and warm and creaky where you’d expect it. Shower was a disappointing dribble (always annoys me), but the separate jacuzzi bath was great. Dining was excellent, no faults, delicious and assuming mostly local produce, especially the seafood, mostly Loch Fyne which you are looking at! Local walks up to Dùn na Cuaiche well worth it if the weather’s fine (or Fyne!). Great base to explore the rest of the West if you want to, or just chill if you need to (we did, and we did!)."
"This is possibly the most charming hotels and place I can remember staying. It’s an old building in a harsh Scottish environment and that is part of its charm. If you want pristine decoration it’s not for you. If you want excellent hospitality, fantastic staff and walls full of the owner’s original art, go. Walk the Crinan trail - the view from the viewpoint is one of the best on a clear day (it is a steep walk though).
A genuine Scottish gem."
"Hands down my favorite hotel during my trip. On the day of my check-in, I made dinner reservations and unfortunately I ran into car trouble so I was going to miss dinner hours by 20 minutes. Immediately when I got to check in, they offered to make me a plate even though the kitchen was closed. 10/10 hotel! I’ll be visiting again"
"We had an early ferry to Islay the next morning, and the staff were so thoughtful to prepare our breakfast ahead of time and leave it at the front desk. Great service and nice, comfortable room. The hotel is also very close to the ferry terminal — only about a 10-minute drive, which was very convenient."
"Our Princess Suite room was wonderful - nice size, nice bed and view over the harbor, in this comfortable and well appointed small guest house right in the center of Tarbert town. We would happily return! "
