"The apartment was fairly spacious and clean. I was happy with the apartment, but there were a number of problems with the location.
The apartment was located on the second floor beside a busy road. That was OK, but on the other side of the road is a wine bar, where the patrons like to chat quite loudly until 5 am in the morning. The location is right in city center, about 15mins walk from dunfermline city's train station. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good.

Market Street Hotel is a definite go-to if I visit Edinburgh again. It's clean and modern. I was first assigned a bigger room (Roomy) but it had a small window that looked out onto another building with no view of the sky at all. The front desk readily acceded to my request to change to a slightly smaller room that faced Waverley Station and Princes Street. I didn't dine at the hotel because there were lots of food options around the area.
