New Continental Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

"Hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff we excellent and and very attentive. Swimming facilities were great our kids enjoyed being able to swim the staff at the pool we also very helpful. Breakfast was okay very accommodating to orders but the food quality was low but good selection. The room was comfortable, we had an issue with the aircon but this issue was resolved quickly. I would have liked better amenity’s a small fridge in the rooms would have been amazing and better coffee facilities as I’ve had in other hotels. We had a great stay very close to the Plymouth Hoe and Barbican with plenty of eatery’s and shops."

"Fabulous hotel. Friendly staff and wonderful position. We had a gorgeous room over looking the estuary. Couldn't fault anything. My husband collapsed in Salcombe and everyone at the hotel was very helpful, particularly members of the public who came to my husbands aid. I did thank the people that helped us but not having anyone's telephone numbers was not able to thank them properly. It was so appreciated. We had to go home so didn't get to enjoy the hotel as we would have liked. Thank you again and a big thank you to the people who helped us."

"Beautiful old building, the reception area/bar/lounge areas were fab. A little tasty around the edges....tables literally, but I loved the feel. The outdoor, heated pool was a real bonus....I didn't expect it to be as warm as it was! Only downside, I saw someone spraying the weeds around the Pool & was unable to find out what they used! The receptionist who checked me in was amazingly helpful & cheery. The rest of the staff were very helpful, but there seemed to be an apathy/ underlying issues, which made the staff seem aloof. For a one night stay it was perfect & I would happily stay again. I really hope the staff are looked after so they can give their best selves."
