Our 2nd time staying here. You can tell this place was opened in 1957. Not that that is necessarily a bad thing. Rooms are large and dark with the curtains shut, with an actual sitting area, bathrooms are rockin' pink tile floors and walls, good sized towels, a "make-up" table thing outside of the bathroom and, if you're over 50, it has the comforting grandma's house "smell". You can't beat it for under a $100 a night for a single king bed room. My only complaint would be that they could use an upgrade to the mattresses.

Everything was great for an overnight stay. The room was clean and everything was in good repair. The only negative was that their breakfast room closed at 9:30 am on Saturday morning which I felt was a little early, especially for a weekend. I showed up at exactly 9:30 and the door was locked. But to be fair, the hours were explained to us at check in.

Overall very pleasant stay
I stayed here for a weekend, while visiting friends in the area. Overall, I had a very good stay. The hotel had a somewhat ‘older’ feel to it, but not necessarily in a bad way. It was in good shape, and not shabby, just felt like a motel from the 50s. The breakfast offerings were small and limited, but adequate and tasted good. The room was spacious and comfortable, with both a desk and a table which was greatly appreciated since I was using both for crafting I had brought to do during my visit. My only major complaint was the poor lighting in the room. There was no overhead lighting, just the natural light from the window, plus four (not particularly bright) lamps. It made it very difficult to get adequate lighting for my purposes anytime but full-light of day. Moving around some of the lamps (which I returned to their place before leaving) helped some, but better lighting in the room would have been very nice. The sink and tub also both had leaks, but when I mentioned it at checkout, they said they would send someone to look at it so hopefully that will be fixed for the next visitor. Overall, though, I had a very pleasant stay. I would stay here again if I had the choice, I would just bring an extra lamp or two if I plan on doing any work there again.

Avoid the two-level building that needs renovation. You may have a better experience in the single-level buildings. Some people liked to party; having designated quiet time might help. There was no AC only an evaporative or swamp cooler that made my shirt and the bedding feel wet. Could open the window but the bug screen has a hole. The Wi-Fi worked better in the breakfast room or when other guests had checked out. Each mattress was old, and I tended to roll towards the center.

Wonderful hotel
This is a wonderful hotel. We always stay when we attend the Opera festival during July. Large, quiet and clean rooms. Very comfortable. Great breakfast includes eggs, pancakes or french toast or biscuits. The pool is truly fabulous (has a rarely found "deep end") and the hot-tub is luxurious. Very pleasant staff. Highly recommended.

Creepy vibe in the room; mattress sagged in the middle, looked like someone had slept on the bed. Was the room right off the Main Street, directly across from the front entrance and the main office. Fabulous! Nice hot breakfast each day (different menu). Sparkling pool. Well-guarded for motel guests only. Only "steps" away from Utah Festival Opera venues and other local eateries. Excellent vacation choice! Very quiet--lots of grass area and trees. Personnel cheerful and personable. Full-sized tub and plenty of hot water!

The property is still up to Best Western stds. Roughly the same quality as when I stayed there in the 70s and 80s. However, we stayed 2 nights and bed was not made in between nights and clean towels were not provided. We had to ask for clean towels.

Rugs are nasty. Furniture is stained. Looks like the maintenance guy is living in the building next to the ice machine. Chemicals stacked up next to the entrance to the pool. Gross, even for a low budget hotel.
