It's basic and the price reflects that. It's a great position close to Richmond Train and Tube. Staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Comfortable room and value for money for the area and type of hotel. Toilet hadn't been flushed/cleaned properly after previous guest or may be staff used... hair on bathroom wall, but otherwise comfortable room and friendly staff.

Down at heel hotel with low prices to match
The Shandon is a bit of a down at heel hotel ,reflected with its low price. Car park is small but adequate. Some work needed in the room, particularly the shower door. Wifi was not good. On the plus side, the staff was very helpful and friendly

Convenient location and staff were very friendly and helpful. The actual facilities are rundown and not in the best condition. If you need a place to crash and aren't planning on staying in your hotel, then this place fits the bill. Room was quite expensive for what it was but there aren't many hotels in this area especially when there is an event at Twickenham Stadium.

Toilet leaked, window lock broken, toilet seat broken, bed rolled as the room was leaning, hence all the cracked tiles in the toilet i imagine, shower leaked hence a towel on the floor to mop up the water, ripped curtain, but good location for London, i cant say anything else but that...

Check-in was easy and quick. The receptionist was polite and helpful re: parking at the rear of the building. My room was ok for the most part, but it could do with a little tlc. Most things were just cosmetic and didn't impact my stay, however the window handles do need fixing and the pillows could be plumper (very flat). My room did have a slight smell at first which may have been old smoke (?), it did not have a "no smoking" sign in the door like the other rooms next to mine. Overall I slept well and it had what I needed for a one night stay close to the station and motorway. Would stay again.

The hotel was in a great location for Richmond and Kew gardens. Car park was small but managed to get a spot. Beds were comfortable and room was adequate and warm but the bathroom wasn't great with a cold tap that dripped and didn't have have very good pressure and the hot tap was scolding and powerful. Leak by the bath which has been there for a while as all the wood had swollen. People there were very friendly and on the whole you get what you pay for. It was convenient for our visit to Kew.

Basic but clean. If you literally just need a bed for the night then this is ideally located close to the tube station and vines with some parking.

We booked hotel last minute so choice was extremely limited. Had basic double room. Bed was size of king single not double so not suitable for 2. Sheets and towels ok. Bathroom dirty. Very old and worn out. For price there are better budget hotels around. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Deceptive and poor management of rooms
Deceptive description, booking said private washroom, however, was given a communal washroom. Hotel staff could not ammend the booking and were stubborn trying to get us to book a second room at the same price paid. Hotel.com lost the confirmation and after being on hold for 5+ hours and multiple attempts settled for the room.

free parking on the spot; warm and cosy (but no ac, wouldn´t risk it in the summer, even a British one). Floors skeak a lot and there is no elevator. windowsn are to thin especially if you are staying on the street side.
