Really friendly staff who made such an effort to help us celebrate our anniversary! Good knowledge of what's local. Clean modern rooms with a nice communal area to sit/work. I would definitely stay again here or at another Sonder hotel

Lovely hotel for the price, staff pleasant, clean and modern, toiletries provided, hairdryer in rokm and nice touch for iverseas travellers with a plug adaptor. I stau in the area multiple times a month for work and Sonder is one of the best at this price point when the single room is £80-£90

Lovely staff at the desk, very friendly and it was a nice quick process all in all - a nice room, quiet and good sleep, perhaps was a little warm but the radiator had been on prior to our arrival - turning it off opening a window sufficed. Thanks so much!

Room was extremely noisy due to the proximity to the front entrance door. Felt like someone was coming through the room at all hours of the day and night. Bathroom felt like a broom closet...very small

Nice stay, clean modern room, app you can use very good and they get back to you very quickly on the customer service section. The building is not sound proofed so noise was the only issue during the stay, a mix of road noise, lots sounds from banging doors in the hallway, lord bangs on the ceiling from upstairs and the air con machine.

No closet space or really anywhere to hang clothes. The fridge box was barely cold. No housekeeping unless you paid extra. Who doesn't have face clothes (wash cloth). But over all we still managed to have a good time and the location was prime. We caught a bus/train everywhere we wanted to go.

So close.
The stay was fine, and well worth the price - staff were friendly in-person, phone support was very helpful, and the location is hard to beat...but a day after checkout I was emailed and told that £250 of my security deposit was being kept, due to "evidence of smoking." The photo provided in the email notification was of a cigarette butt amongst other random rubbish - none of which came from our room. Also, the duvets don't breathe at all so prepare to wake up sweaty.

No useable plug sockets, unusable mirror, noises room from "guests" moving in and out at all hours, smelled of cannabis and a very unthoughtful layout of the room. I've stayed in better hostels, many times!!! The only way to try and change room and sort the problems were by text or to call the US, no one on reception. I have a text conversation with 6 different people over the course of 6 hours for someone to eventually drop off a 4-way plug board so I could charge my phone whilst I sleep. Ridiculous! This room was not cheap, didn't match the picture and was a massive disappointment, not to mention inconvenience as I was trying to work

Kedeligt lille kælderværelse, med vindue bag tremmer, hvis brand ingen vej ud. Varmt, lille seng, åbnede man vinduet kom der røg fra alle rygerne der røg udenfor. Billigt men det var også den eneste fordel

Great place to stay. Check-in procedure takes a little time to set up the first time you stay. After that it’s a breeze. My Air-conditioning had a fault on it so it was really warm. I didn’t report it, so nothing that Sonder could have done for me.

Terrible nights sleep. Loud noises being made by the air conditioner even when turned off! The room was nice enough and the location fine but when all you want is a decent nights sleep it’s hard to recommend this place.

SONDER HOTELS - HOTELS WHERE YOU SHOULD NOT STAY
My stay did not actually occur, because we were were unable to get through SONDER's complicated online booking system. It demanded that we upload a photo ID (passport or driving licence). People who travel within the UK do not carry their passports around as matter of course, and nor is it a legal requirement to carry one's driving licence around. By making this a mandatory part of the booking process, SONDER has made things difficult for UK customers like us. SONDER's website was cumbersome, slow and intermittently non-responsive during the process so that several times we lost the connection to the website. We checked that it was not a browser fault, that there was sufficient signal strength, and other websites were responding quite normally when we opened other tabs on the computer. It was a problem specific to the SONDER website. It is so annoying that they operate within the UK, and yet do not have any staff present in the UK, so that when one contacts their Help Team, you get put through to the US or Canada, where the persons taking the call have no clue about England, and the local hotel, and are unable to provide any meaningful help, other than to make some feeble responses, and utter some sympathetic mumbling noises. It is probably too much to ask, and to expect, that the company's senior staff and senior management would take any notice of this review, or that their Web Manager / Website Team would make any attempts to improve their substandard system.
