"Very classy hotel, and historic. The King Suite was immaculate and very roomy. Great bed and pillows. It had three sinks, very handy. Also a microwave and small refrigerator. There was a parking lot next to the hotel, so that was convenient. The streets nearby-half the store fronts are empty. At the hotel Ariel, If you take the elevator to the 5th Floor, you can go out on the deck and have a wonderful view of the water, and the lighthouse. They are working on great trails and parks right nearby. We went on a Monday and Tuesday so the restaurant was closed. We enjoyed breakfast in town that was called The Beach Cliff Diner, even though the sign outside is crooked, don't worry about it. The food was delicious and the people were very friendly. They even had tasty grits as a side. It was an hour ride to Cleveland to visit the Art museum (free) and the excellent Botanic garden both in the University circle."
"Room was pretty dirty. Had stains on almost all pillow cases, sheets, and blankets. There was garbage and candy wrappers behind and underneath the pull out couch. Visibly dirty spots/stains on the toilet seat that I had to personally clean off with Clorox wipes and the shower floor had dirt and grime on it.
Staff was helpful and got our shuttle set up for very early in the morning which we appreciated. Front desk person also brought us out some breakfast items even though the continental breakfast didn’t officially begin until 6 am.
The pool was fun for the kids but there were parts of the sitting area roped off with random construction materials sitting everywhere.
Overall it was okay for what we needed but definitely would not stay there again. "
"One word sums up this hotel: MAGNIFICENT!!! The rooms were clean, spacious, and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was also outstanding. Not your typical waffles and bagels, but rather fresh scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, fruit, etc. The staff was very friendly. Everything about this hotel is first class, and the price was about half of what one would expect for a hotel of this quality. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are anywhere in the area. "
"The lift was not working ..:.
Be checked in at 1:30 in the afternoon, and they gave us the top most player. Floor asking us to pick up Bags and go over there.
We believe this was done because we are from India because we saw people checking in later and getting lower floors
There was no shower gel in the bathroom. We have to wait 15 minutes to get the same.
Later, the flush broke and nobody came to repair even after multiple reminders"
