This is a cute kitschy hotel that would be great however, many components of the property were not functioning well. In the advertisement it shows the Beverly Laurel sign lit up with the hotel grounds and it was not. No elevator service was provided. I don’t remember if I read this in the description, however, not having an elevator in this hotel was a complete hindrance. I feel as though the pictures and description on Expedia didn’t quite match the reality of the property.
The front desk staff checked us and offered no help with luggage. As we entered in the room, the lighting was weirdly wired. There is not enough plugs. The rooms are very small, which are OK if you don’t have a lot of luggage and you’re not expecting to stay for a long period of time. Our room was a two double bed room, and the location of the AC unit was very noisy and did not compensate for cooling the whole room. The neighborhood was fine , close to all of the West Hollywood locations and shopping districts however, the streets around this area are dirty and there are a lot of homeless people. Parking was very tight however was free. This location is a great place to stay without children and if you’re not looking for too much glitz and glamour. Also the attached restaurant was worth the money.
