I enjoyed our overnight stay at this property. The entire staff were very welcoming and friendly. I’m picky when it comes to the hotels I stay at on vacations or get always so to say that I would definitely stay here again is a plus. The rooms were clean, gave a relaxing vibe, and I loved the aesthetics of it all. The only minor detail that I would’ve liked the hotel to have is a larger pool, it was too small in my opinion. It was crowded and not enough room to sunbathe.

Loved it ! Front Yard for dining is great. We stayed in the family suite and kids loved having a bunk bed. Great shuttle to Universal.

Clean and nice hotel to stay when go to Universal Studios. The shuttle bus to Universal Studios is quick and the driver is very friendly. Enjoy our stays.

The property has some interesting art but no consistent decorating theme. Our room was on the prettier (i.e. west-facing) side of our building, but it had no microwave, no freezer and I couldn't make the Keurig work. Apparently there was a complimentary bottle of wine that we were not told about until checkout, so missed out on that too. Meh.

Love this place. The freeway is nearby and pretty loud. And the cost of parking is outrageous. Otherwise, I love this place.

We stay at the Garland everytime we go to Universal Studios. We are never disappointed, everyone is nice and helpful. This is the first time we brought our dog Pepe Mendoza. He was treated so well by all of the staff, I can't wait to go back and Pepe agrees 😊

The layout and landscape of the property was nice. The overall design of the space was great. Every meal we had at the restaurant was excellent. Although you can hear the freeway, the rooms/property was relatively quiet.

WE LOVED THE GARLAND. Seriously tho how cute is this place! Tbh I was a little worried when I booked it because “retro” when describing a hotel is sketchy but this place was amazing. So clean, inviting, and felt like a resort! All the staff were super nice and helpful and the trolley to universal was a big bonus. We’ve stayed in all sorts of hotels in LA and this is my new favourite! The only thing that was a small mark against it was the shower water pressure. As someone with big thick hair it was a chore to wash. But it’s such a minor and common problem it’s easily overlooked!

The Garland is a great value. Great clean rooms pool and hot tub very nice and relaxing. All staff very friendly and helpful. Food at pool or restaurant fabulous. Happy hour what a fun time. 5 star plus boutique hotel. They get it.😎👍

The property was great besides our bathroom having a few sewer flies everything was good except the for thw $100 parking fee for two days that they don't mention until after u check out and then taking out $400 on top of our $1,200 for deposit

As soon as we arrived at The Garland, the staff was friendly and so accomodating. Everything we wanted to explore was within a 30 minute drive. The pool was refreshing, and at night they do movies by the pool which is super fun and relaxing.

Wow- would definitely stay here again. The staff is 100/10, very quick, friendly, accommodating, and best of all - happy! We had breakfast at the front yard and I had the previlage of speaking with our waiter about the background of this place and to hear that the staff is treated well by the owners of the property, make it 10 times better since the staff actually wants to be there - and it shows! My fiancé and I would definitely stay here again and enjoy all the amenities this place has to offer. Thank you!

This hotel is not the norm in a very good way. It takes you back to what a hotel stay used to be. Nice rooms, attentive staff, gorgeous grounds and facilities, added touches such as the retro trolley to Universal are perfect!!!

Clean, quiet. Shuttle didn’t work for early entry but was a convenient ride back. Having a kids and an adults hot tub was really nice, allowing families and singles/couples to have their own space. I upgraded to the king premium. Big room but nothing special, view was still of the parking lot but did have the Hollywood hills in the background. Customer service was good, location very nice. Mid class with upper class pricing but it’s LA. Overall happy and would stay again

The Garland is an adorable retro/funky hotel. We enjoyed our time there. The rooms are a good size, conveniently located for the area, shuttle to universal was so nice to have available on site and everything was clean. The cleaning staff came by everyday with fresh linens and took out the trash.
