"Victoria is kind and helpful and the property is a beautiful rambling half hostel but with beautifully appointed rooms and upholstered walls and a treasure of things to look at in common areas. Beautiful old buildings and grounds. Our shower ran cold to cool and was confusing to control, but it was hot and we didn’t ask about it so can’t complain too much there. Pool was also lovely and clean."

"The property was tranquil and located within easy driving distance of the historic Cuenca district. The room was rather stark with a television that glitched quite a bit but we were not into the room that much. "We stayed at the Parador in Cuenca partway through our trip to Madrid. It was fantastic. The property is beautiful and close to many hiking trails in the countryside. The breakfast was five stars and the room was very comfortable, with views of the old city. The only note: Due to the older building and materials (tile, wood, no carpet) you could hear people moving about the hall. But it was very quiet at night and there was an interior door to the bedroom that would have kept any sound down, too!"

"The Posada de San José is deep into Old Town, quite remote, but reachable from the train station via the L10/L1 bus lines. Pack snacks if you get hungry between 4 and 8; there's no nearby McDonald's. When it opens, the on-site restaurant has great food; you shouldn't miss out. The place is very rustic and has great canyon views. Some head ducking might be required on the premises and in your room. The bathroom is old, but functional. Showering (fully curtained) is possible without making a EU puddle on the floor. The bed was quite comfortable."
