"Clean, staff was very friendly and informative. I thought it was a great location 5-6 min walk to most of things we were doing.. Beds were amazing! Slept well after a long day of exploring. Would definitely recommend "

"Location was nice and the room was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful but we've felt we had to request for things...not a biggy but noticeable. We're not really big on breakfast so can't offer any feedback but their scones and jam were pretty good when we had them."

"Our hotel room smelled like kitchen exhaust the entire time, it was nauseating. The tv did not face the bed. The breakfast was hit miss quality. The staff was aloof and did not ask how our stay was. The elevator was broken, we were on the 4th floor. The bathroom door did not fit the frame and you could see through. The room was not cozy- tile and hardwood only, no carpet. Which is good because it would only smell like kitchen exhaust. Galway, however, was grand!"

"I had booked two rooms, both with a king sized bed. My in-laws room had a king sized bed; however, our room had a double. I immediately went back to the desk and showed my reservation and was told that, "In Europe, king sized beds are smaller. Your room has a king sized bed"... Now, this may not seem like a big deal, but when you're husband is a very active sleeper and you are both tall, a double bed is not at all how you want to spend your dream vacation nights. I take issue with first the gas-lighting and second with the lack of effort by the staff to even attempt to get us into the type of room we prepaid for. That said, the staff in the restaurant were beyond amazing and the food was very tasty. We loved Galway - with the exception of this room. Every other room we had on our trip across Ireland was exactly as advertised and pictured - The Hyde and their front desk staff was the only poor exception."
