Hotels in Downtown Louisville

"Where do I begin? The live bullets in the parking lot, the car windows being broken, the door lock on our room that didn’t work and then we were told there was no other rooms. Then we had a dog bark for 2.5 hours to which we couldn’t reach the front desk because you only get a busy signal. Corporate was called then got us connected to the front desk to which they said, the guest is at a concert and won’t be home for over an hour. Then the hotel proceeded to over charge me by over $500. Now I’ve been fighting to refund my money for two days."

"This was my first visit to Louisville. The location downtown was very near the Ohio River and Whiskey Row restaurants and bars. Property is only three blocks away from Angels Envy Distillery and Louisville Slugger AAA ballpark. The property itself appeared to be pretty new and clean and well kept up. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful as was the bartender/waitress. The king suite was perfect for my friend and I. The sleeper sofa I slept on was well, a sleeper sofa, but much more comfortable that many others I’ve slept on. Two thumbs up!!"

"The facility was well-maintained and the manager provided excellent assistance. However, my interaction with one of the front desk representatives, specifically the individual who is African American and gay with glasses, was quite unprofessional. It is evident that he requires further training. Despite this, my overall experience would have warranted a rating of 10. Nevertheless, I have decided to rate it a 7.5 due to the encounters with the representative."

"The property was lovely. The rooms were extremely clean, but what made my experience top-tier….. Were the employees!!! There were three people that I saw working during my stay. They were all African-American. There was a Lady, a younger gentleman and an older gentleman. All of them were just wonderful. I wasn’t a fan of the parking situation, but it was in downtown so it is what it is but due to how wonderful the staff was I’d come back again even though I didn’t enjoy the parking situation. But I will say the hotel is amazing and the fact that they give you a deal where you can pay $30 and you can go in and out all you want all day and night and not have to worry about parking so the hotel definitely made up for it."

"We loved our stay at The Brown Hotel! Charming older hotel. Restaurant/bars were wonderful, staff was very friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable. Location was a little away from 4th St and Whiskey Row, but easy 1 mile walk to attractions. Highly recommend The Brown Hotel!"

"Perfect place to stay to be within walking distance to just about everything Louisville has to offer. Hotel is gorgeous and well kept."

"This hotel did not feel like a Marriott. It felt a little dated. The floor plan was a little awkward. I never did find an ice machine. Parking garage was bit secure. There were also issues with the elevator and only one was operating most of the weekend. All of that being said, I would STILL give this hotel 5 stars and will DEFINITELY return in the future. The staff was second to none and more than eager to help out or just say a friendly hello the entire trip. The rooms, the pool, the fitness center and the common areas were all very clean. The location was within walking distance of 4th Street Live and RIGHT at the start line of the Kentucky Derby Marathon. Thanks for making us feel welcome. We’ll see you again."
