"Chambre parfaite , très bien décorée et équipée. Chambre avec un jacuzzi privatif, que du plaisir apres une bonne journée de plage ou une bonne randonnée. Établissement ouvert depuis juin 2025, donc quelques finitions à l'extérieur ,pas de piscine sur place , alors que sur le descriptif de la chambre c'était marqué, la piscine se trouve en fait dans la partie hôtel de l'autre côté de la rue environ 100 m, comme le petit-déjeuner à prendre. "The room was nice and clean. The staff very friendly. We had dinner there and it was great, they even had Greek musicians and dancers. Breakfast was outstanding. Its a very enchanting place. Wish we had stayed two nights. "

"We were the first booking for the season, so felt like we had a the whole place to ourselves. The property, and our villa, were incredible and the views out to the ocean were amazing. Loved our villa and was perfect size for our family. Appreciated the fresh fruit. Our host was there to greet us and communication throughout our entire stay was excellent. The property is beautiful, and it felt so relaxing to enjoy the sun in the Cretan hillside. Only wished we stayed longer!"

"Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "

"We’ve been traveling in Greece for a month and this stay has been the most amazing. The host has thought of every luxury and convenience. From the private pool to the high-end finish out of the houses, it is just stunning. The kitchen is so well stocked to make anything. From the microwave to the oven to the electric griddle to the outdoor gas grill, the washer and dishwasher. The parking for your car is very secure. "The location near the wineries was amazing. I loved the restaurant there and the views were gorgeous. Make sure to take the day trip to Matala beach!"

"A lovely traditional house in a typical Cretan village away from the tourist hotspots. Our host spoke good English and was very welcoming and helpful. The bakery sells wonderful trays of Baklava which we enjoyed on our spacious roof terrace, a great place for breakfast too. "

"The house was a lovely old Cretan house renovated to a high standard, and Popi was a wonderful, helpful, and knowledgeable host - really friendly and full of suggestions of where to go next. You will need to have a car to get around as it is not at all central, and do not expect a modern building - but it was full of character and the aircon worked very well, so in my eyes it was perfect! I would happily stay here again, and hope to do so some day in the coming years."
