"Beautiful room in a perfect location. Mont Saint-Michel is very touristic, but staying on the island for the night helps you avoid the crowd at night. The only area for improvement would be the check-in process. You have to check-in at Le Relais outside the island, and then again on the island next to the hotel. So it's a lot of back and forth before you're able to get into your room."

"There are definitely some things to like about the property - while not in the center of town it was a close enough walk to restaurants/shops. Parking is close by and free. Breakfast was good, especially liked the basket of bread/croissants set on the table each morning. Their coffee/latte/espresso machine will satisfy your caffeine fix. Was not in love with the family studio room, very early 1990's Ikea type furniture, bare bones decor. It reminded me of the kind of room you get when you're in college and you are scraping together money for a long weekend at the beach with a couple of friends. There were only 2 small bed pillows, but I was able to get an extra pillow at the front desk. Granted it's a 2-star hotel so expectations should not be that high. "Garden view" is a patch of grass with a couple of chairs - there is no garden to speak of, Was unable to use the tea kettle in the room because of a white film deposit of some kind and was not going to dig in there to scrub it out. Reminder that there is no shower gel in the room - just hand soap. I think some of the rooms in the main building would have a better aesthetic than his option."

"We reserved 2 rooms and both rooms smell like a septic tank. Room 103 in the shower all you could get was extremely hot water which made it hard to take a shower and there was no heat in the bedroom so the second day was cold and without the heat I had to wear a jacket to bed. The people were nice but the place was differently wasn’t what I expected."

"Room was excellent and would stay here again in a heartbeat. What you probably don't know about Mont St. Michel is that you can't even get to the village where the hotels are at without a GATE CODE...it's very protected from the masses. The hotel will send the GATE CODE a few days prior to your stay via email, so make sure you look that up before pulling your car near the hotel. We had a panic attack at the gate not realizing we needed a code...thank heaven my email worked and it pulled right up. The little village where the hotels are (and Mercure is the best one), gets quiet, but the village has a shuttle that runs on a loop until 11 in the summer...so you can get all the quiet pictures you want after the masses return on their tour busses. This hotel was clean and breakfast was perfect and necessary before grabbing the shuttle (breakfast opened at 6:45am and the first shuttle is at 7:30am). Do your mental health a favor and stay at this hotel if you are visiting "the rock." Book the earliest tour at the Abbey as well so you can see it without all the people...staying here and getting an early tour is the way to go."

"I didn't get my room the first night and had to book into another hotel , because the phone number to reception where I was staying was wrong. It was for their sister hotel. This is the number supplied by Expedia email. The next day I went to check in being 500 euros out of pocket. They couldn't locate my house key as someone else had taken it. I ended not staying in my allocated room and shared with my colleague. I am now absolutely livid as im massively out of pocket and it has ruined my holiday. An absolute farce, I will not be using again. I would like a total refund of my money plus the 500 euros I had to spend for the first night!!!!!!!!"
