"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. "Nice hotel with free parking and spacious rooms. staff were friendly and helpful. the food was delicious and the afternoon tea was good and affordable... they have nice outdoor seating and it was a good base to explore the Cotswolds."

"Very big hotel with polite staff and a lovely terrace to sit out on a warm evening. The room was a good size although bathroom was quite small, but bed and pilllows were very comfy. Shame about the club lounge though. It was very hot in there and choice of drinks was limited. The food was very disappointing, hardly any food there and when more was brought everyone descended on it like a swarm of locusts. It did not seem to have much choice either. The same food both evenings and none of it to my taste! Most people in there were complaining and saying it was not worth paying the extra for! Hope the management and chefs take note. ! Would hope it does improve otherwise guests will not want to go in there. Breakfast was good on both mornings but I found the bar very expensive."

"I cannot recall leaving a review before however, our experience was one I do not wish to repeat. We booked a suite. It really was not worth the money. Tired, shabby & with air conditioning that sounded like a struggling car engine. The bed however was very comfortable but overpriced. The receptionists on both days were lovely & very welcoming. Breakfast was terrible, by 9.20am pastries had ran out, no water & they got our order wrong. When it was finally served the toast wasn’t toasted, it was lukewarm cheap warm bread. The scrambled eggs were like rubber. The full English breakfast was inedible. The mushroom was like the sole of an old shoe, the bacon was as hard as a shatterproof ruler. Need I go on? It was rather interesting to overhear from the other side of the ‘restaurant’ that it was like being in Fawlty Towers and I have to agree, it was!! We expressed our concerns to the manager about the breakfast and rather than waiting another 30 mins to have a replacement (yes, it took that long to be served) we just wanted to leave. We’ve never left a hotel so early to go home. This is a hotel that appears thrives on tourists and coach tours. For the couple that want a lovely time away we found so many more places within yards that we could not believe we opted for this hotel. Gutted."

"Room very small and stuffy, bathroom, well it was the worst shower ever, had a metal bar screwed to the wall so everytime I tried to wash myself I bashed my arm. Everything I asked for at the bar they hadn’t got or had ran out, what I did get in the end was very overpriced. Breakfast the following morning, no bacon left so had to wait 20 minutes for some more to be done which was undercooked when it came out, there was no drinking water either. Very disappointing, looks lovely from the outside. 2 other pubs in the village closed down so I suspect this won’t be far behind. Definitely would not return. Shame as the area was lovely and quaint."

"Beautifully clean, large room, however, we stayed during the bank holiday heatwave and the air con wasn't working. A portable air con unit had been placed in the room but wasn’t enough for such a large space. Unable to open windows, so had a sleepless night due to the unbearable heat. Huge room, great shower and very comfortable bed. We also stayed for breakfast which was amazing! Beautiful hotel just a shame that we chose a boiling hot weekend to stay."
