We walked up through the modern High Street to the old High Street. It is run down, but very beautiful buildings and shops showing a time gone by. There was a lovely antique shop, it seemed to be doing a good trade in military medals.

Lowestoft is Lowestoft. It's not trendy, or full of seaside atteactions. It's a town, by the sea, with people getting on with their lives. But it's quaint in its own right, with fishing history, museums, a fantastic beach, nature. I love it!
The sea front and beach are lovely.
Family originate from/still live there - personal views of the area overall are not really relevant: this review centres on the hotel itself and is to assist others when choosing Lowestoft as a holiday destination.
