"A spectucular location with great views from the east bank of the Mekong River of the broad river, boats on it, and the surrounding karst mountains in the near distance beyond. Peaceful and beautifully maintained acres of landscaped gardens. Historic home of former revered Lao Prince. Good AC, wifi, shower or tub bath. Pool was wonderful with very nice chaise lounges and umbrellas but only about 8 of them, not enough if there are many people using it. Very good food options, both western and Southeast Asian. Some issues with food needing to be brough on trays from seperate kitchen, some dishes arrived only warm. Lovely decor. Cable TV is not all that good, less than strong signal, only a few channels in English. Free shuttle service seven times a day into LP city 2.5 miles away. Friendly service, Stephen the operations manager very helpful and speaks good English. Limited English from the friendly staff. Well managed and clean."

"We sure enjoyed our stay at the Victoria Xiengthong. The location was near most local attractions. The staff was very attentive to our well-being. Additionally, we were grateful to a surprise upgrade to a wonderful suite. We’d certainly use this facility for our next travel."
