Definitely not a 4* hotel - more like a 2* - lovely building and clean room, but stained, patched carpets, an air conditioner that didn't cool the room (in a heatwave), and you had to specifically request the controller. Generally poor facilities. Apart from the very nice man on check in, the staff didn't seem interested at all - lady when I checked out didn't even interrupt her phone call. Breakfast staff didn't seen to be trained at all - 'hot' items were left to go cold and with no burner under the trays, bread and milk ran out and not replaced, staff disappeared. This is very surprising in Poland where hotel staff are generally outstanding.

Very good but need attention
The location was good, service of the team was friendly and the room was quite and comfortable. There were three issues that need fixing. The shower tab was broken, the arm of the single chair was broken and the sofa has problems on one side.

This is a 2*, not a 4* hotel. The rating is misleading, I would have never booked it it it was properly rated. There was no fridge inside the room. We had to go down to the reception, because the phone in the room didn’t work, to ask for one, which was at least brought fast, empty and of course not cold. The room had A/C, but not remote control, which was kept at the reception. You have to ask for it. There was no light on the second floor, so when we returned from the city, we had to walk in the dark from the elevator to the room. It took two days to have the lights fixed. The safe in the room didn’t work. We were promised to be fixed, but it wasn’t. The room wasn’t clean, the only thing the cleaning stuff did during our 3 days stay was to empty once the garbage bags. The pillows should be changed, are very used. The bathroom OK. The breakfast was good. The stuff at the reception was pleasant. The rest is terrible. The sidewalk in front of the hotel’s wall was very dirty, it looked like it wasn’t clean in ages.

stay in a historic building in Lublin
The Hotel was beautiful as it was in an old Jewish school with on the top Floor a Synagoge and a Museum. The Location was good and walkable to town. Good facilities like a gym and a Sauna. And the Restaurant was good, with Special dishes.

Cheap price for good 4 Star hotel
We came to Lublin to see the Majdanek concentration camp, and this hotel was ideally positioned by a bus stop for bus 156 to Majdanek. It also is only 2 bus stops or an easy 1km walk to the main bus station for Krakow or Warsaw. Receptionist was very helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at Ilan Hotel. It is located in an old Jewish building that has been converted to a 4* hotel. There is still a synagogue in the building that can be visited (free for hotel guests). Positive points: 1. Great service from staff at the reception and the restaurant.On our final day they prepared us a breakfast package as we had to check out early to catch our bus. 2. The room was spacious and clean, and equipped with a safe box and a water kettle. 3. Fantastic breakfast buffet. 4. Good location. It is only a 10min walk to the bus station and a 15min walk to the Old Town. There is a bus stop just across the hotel where one can take bus 156 that goes straight to Majdanek concentration camp, with a stop at the Old Town. Less positive points: 1. The mattress was a bit too soft. 2. There are some stairs and a heavy door at the entrance, while I did not see any facilities for people with a disability. Overall, if you are looking for a hotel in Lublin I highly recommend Ilan Hotel. It was the best hotel we stayed in during our 8 day Poland trip.

Overall, it's a nice hotel, but the terrible housekeeping was very disappointing. The sheets were not changed once during our 5-day stay. When they did make the beds, it looked like it had been done by a child. I found hairs in the bed (not mine) and my daughter's shirt was under the blanket. No replenishing of shampoo, missing towels, asked for a pillowcase and never got it... The area is nice, the breakfast is decent, the beds were comfortable and the hotel itself seemed clean and well taken care of.

Great hotel
My stay in Lublin at Hotel Ilan was great. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Fairly close to Old Town (20 minute walk). The service was excellent. In particular, a very nice young Redhead Lady whose name I can't remember, she went above and beyond and always with a smile!

The staff in this hotel are rude and unfriendly. Very little management has been done to this hotel and the owner seems to be on 'cost-cutting' strategy. be careful with leaving your credit card details with them as they over charged me for my stay.

Lublin Gem!
An impressive gem with a lot of history! A 15 minute walk to Old Town of Lublin. Short walks to shopping, restaurants and attractions. Breakfasts were great. The staff were friendly and helpful!

Very good breakfast and room equipment. Free and secured parking. But hotel is not in the best and safe district of the city. they had rooms available only on the first floor next to hotel entrance and noisy bar. very few tables in restaurant and you have to seat with some one. But for one night stay it was acceptable.

A great place to stay
Great hotel, rooms very clean and comfortable and the restaurant exceptional. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. I didn't mind the walk to the old town, about 10=15 minutes.
