Excellent place to stay near the airport.
This is the third overnight stay before a flight back to the U.K. The staff are so very friendly and helpful except perhaps the gentleman who may be the owner/manager. He could smile a bit ! The restaurant is vey good and excellent value.

We stayed for the late check in and proximity to the Bastia airport. The wall paper in the room was peeling from water damage and there may have been mold in the corners of the walls. Not the most pleasant hotel but the bed was fine and location convenient for the airport.

Receptionist unfriendly & unwelcoming, did not smile once. I arrived early, but was not told I could wait in the empty waiting area or where I could order a drink & snack at the almost empty bar area whilst I waited for my room. The common toilet was not clean & dispenser had no soap. When I returned later, I found my room had not been cleaned, after all. The 2nd Receptionist was much nicer & more efficient, & sorted out my check-in

Great hotel near Bastia Airport
Chez Walter is much more than just an airport hotel - good sized rooms, lovely pool & garden, excellent restaurant and very helpful staff. I'll definitely stay there again next time I'm in Corsica.

Good night's sleep in clean hotel.
Room was smaller than expected as description said 16m sq but bedroom was small with large bathroom. Welcome at Check in wasnt over friendly but rest of team including restaurant we're very kind. Hotel and restaurant very clean and clearly respect the current covid hygiene requirements. Bed comfy and had a good night's sleep. Restaurant quality and price correct for the area. Enjoyed 2 meals there.

Check in was slow. It opens at 11.30am according to Expedia, but our room wasn't ready at 1pm when we got to the hotel so they had to allocate us a different room. Cleaners weren't properly informed and walked on us as we were changing in the room ! Nice big pool but quite busy with kids. A fair number of restaurants in a 5-mile radius.

Chez Walter only 3 stars but giving close to 4 star facility, service and good quality food. Very friendly, excellent, helpful staff. Ideally situated - only 10 mins from the airport and very easy to find. Great place for touring - Bastia only 20 mins away, St Florent just over 1 hour, Calvi 2 hr, Ajjacio 2.5 hr. Having stayed in the 'Carlton' in Nice...I would pick Chez Walter everytime for Quality of Food, Service and accomodation. Will stay again in the future and would recommend it without reservation.

Good stay
Chez Walter is well located and good for a short stay. We really enjoyed the pool, breakfast, the large comfortable bed and the restaurant next door. The staff are very friendly. The hotel could do with a refurbishment to modernise it a bit.

Great place to stay prior to a flight
We stayed at Chez Walter the night before our flight from the Bastia Airport. We had an early morning flight to London the next day. The hotel is dated but the grounds are extensive. There are lawns, a pool and a tennis court. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly.

Nice and Easy
Good location for a short stay. The hotel is a little dated, but very clean and the staff were friendly. The swimming pool is excellent and was quiet when we stayed there.

Very clean.
We stayed one night as it is very close to the airport. Perfectly suitable for a couple of nights. Very clean though small rooms. Breakfast is a pretty good buffet. Evening restaurant is nice but overpriced. The pizzas are awful though and tiny. However, the desserts are great!

The charming place that we needed for a night
Very nice hotel, clean, modern and well equipped. Very easy to find in a busy area, and very close to Bastia's airport. Exactly what we needed as we had to spend one night in the area in order to attend a wedding party.

Un accueil au top.
J'ai passé un très agréable séjour et ce qui m'a vraiment plu le plus c'est l'excellent accueil de toutes les personnes que j'ai pu croiser ! Merci beaucoup. La chambre avec son petit balcon était très bien ! Juste à côté de la gare, très pratique.

Tout était très bien, extrêmement calme au niveau de la chambre, grande salle de bain, réceptionnistes très sympathiques! Merci pour les conseils ! Petit déjeuner copieux et varié. Rempli en cours de service. Rien à redire on conseil !

Une halte très agréable
Un bon rapport qualité prix ,on y revient volontiers ! Toujours notre première halte après l’arrivée en bateau tardive et toujours quelqu’un pour vous recevoir quelque soit l’heure . L'établissement est très propre, au calme, les chambres très correctes ( nous avons juste regretté avoir un lit en 140 ), et le petit déjeuner bien complet. l’hotel prend aussi les chèques vacances comme mode de paiement . Un grand parking bien pratique juste devant est aussi un plus. Nous recommandons cet hôtel .
