"Hotel is out of the way and on a one way system, but managed to navigate. Arrived during a party so spaces in the car park were limited. Also arrived to find signs about ANPR parking. When asked about it, was told the cameras hadnโ€™t been fitted (signs up 3 days early) and there was nothing about a change on the property info. Staff were pleasant and the room was decent. I read reviews about issues with the โ€˜balconyโ€™. We got a balcony, itโ€™s old but safe. Lovely view, but I could see an issue being a lower level balcony room and insects, but we were on the top floor. Would stay again if in the area."

"We received a very warm welcome from the staff when we arrived plus a very welcome glass of water as we checked in. The hotel is very well situated to explore Ludlow and the surrounding countryside, it sits an easy 10 minute stroll into Ludlow, crossing a very picturesque bridge beneath the walls of the castle and offering a dramatic view of the castle as you approach. We had a lovely first evening meal at the hotel, the menu is appropriately short and the wine list very good, a very nice touch is the offer of a number of wines by the carafe, great for couples. Breakfast is served in the light filled conservatory and again had a good selection of cereals and cooked dishes, with vegetarian options. Staff were really helpful and on hand to advise on places to visit nearby. All in all a very nice place to stay."
