"Room was clean and furnished with solid furniture. Microwave, fridge and coffee maker, with coffee and tea supplied. Bathroom could do with some renovations but there was toiletries and clean towels.
It's an old building and it's a little worn but I think the price reflects this. It definately has history and character!
The surrounding area is not the prettiest (old industrial) so the views may not be great from the windows, but again, for these prices is expected.
We slept well as the bed was comfortable. It was clean and had everything we needed for a quick layover, and we could have the dog with us (extra charge applies) so we'd stay again."
"I would stay rhete again.
The location was what we wanted. It was a good value which sold us. There were problems with too much light coming in from the outside lights. We MacGivered the blinds to block out much of the light. The older gentleman that was chain smoking in the corner of the hallway was annoying, but only because our room was in the far corner
Chessica at reception was very pleasant"
"We were there for two nights and enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful and the hotel is clean and well maintained considering its age. The section we stayed in was like a motel unit but without any kitchen facilities. Unfortunately the restaurant in the hotel was not open on the day we came and a power outage in the area just before we arrived caused the only other restaurant in the area to close. However, the grocery store is modern and well stocked.
Very quiet and wonderful views over the water, although not from our room. There is air conditioning but it is noisy. We were able to manage by turning it on in the evening and turning it off for the night and opening the window. We were able to eat in the hotel restaurant the second night and enjoyed our meal there. The restaurant has a large deck and great views.
The front desk staff is helpful but only available when called. This is a little inconvenient at times."
"Great place, newly renovated I would guess. Beautiful inside and close to shopping and the ferry. Friendly staff.
Probably the best place to stay in Powell River."
