"Check-in was super easy and shown around. Room was clean. Continental breakfast with lots of choice and could pop in whenever to help myself which was quite nice as didn’t have to book a time. Car park was full but there was plenty of street parking. Only thing I would say is that I wouldn’t have called the room I had a harbour view room as couldn’t really see it, but it was still nice."
"Easy to find, well located, onsite restaurant - which helps because Brae only has the chippie and one other place to eat and both of those close early! Eveythjng you need is here to pass through en route to Unst and beyond."
"This hotel was very poor. Decor was appalling with aged dirty wallpaper coming off the walls. The TV did not work at all with stations not tuned in. We (3 adults one room) stayed there for 3 nights and at no point were we given fresh clean cups for our tea, freshened bedding/towels or bins changed. No WiFi given. No bar or restaurant facilities. Carpets worn and windows dirty. It was very disappointing and a shame. Definitely not value for money!"
"Outstanding service and care from the staff- they seem to have a ‘family’ vibe going on
Speciall thanks to manager Jane for local info & taking care of us.
Rooms we saw were spacious and clean
We had a room at the back which was light and quiet- we neede a couple of recovery afternoon kips which were uninterrupted.
Dinner was tasty & of really good quality and variety; breakfasts hearty with healthier/ continental options. 5 stars.
