Property is very old and poorly maintained. Requires thorough refurbishment before advertising it for international guests. This is a perfect case of What You See Is Not What You Get (WYSINWYG). Terrible and Pathetic!
Vastaanotto huono, ei tiedetty mitään tulostani, mistä varattu, paljon maksettu jne. Hotelli on vanha ja rapistunut. Aamiainen hyvä. Osa henkilökunnasta ystävällisiä. Uima- allas ala- arvoinen, likainen. Ei pystynyt uimaan. Keskellä kaupunkia, kiureinen ja rauhaton paikka. Huone kuitenkin rauhallinen.
The hotel is the worst of more than 150 hotels l have ever been. It's seriously fithy. The toilt the bedding you can't recognise the colur of the mosquito net. The toile is like the 1950s toile and never been renovated since the hotel has been opened. The cooks and the people saving in the kitche were filthy. To say the list the hotel should be closed down. It is appalling.

Hotel in need of urgent reservation such as damaged roof, very old furniture. Staff need to be well trained in customer service, free breakfast should be clearly stated as continental as hot food must be paid for
I made a booking for five nights.I arrived at the Hotel at one am and there was no electricity and water. The person in charge told me the electricity( and water) would come on at 3am. he lied,. Water and electricity did nto come on till 8am. then it was sporadic. I left after one night. I think Venere should refund me the other four nights
I enjoyed my stay. The staff were all helpful and the breakfast was good. Don't expect a luxury hotel as this isn't a top of the range hotel but it was good value, with clean rooms and a TV.
We had booked this hotel 4 months in advance. I had emailed the Manager Mr. Mbewe ahead of time to arrange for transport from the airport to the hotel. He stated that they would "send transport as per our confirmation". When we arrived no one was at the airport to transport us and when I called the hotel, the desk said that did not provide that service. When we arrived at the hotel there was trash knee deep in the street in front of the hotel. The hotel did not have the booking information from expedia and tried to charge us for the room. I had to call expedia at a cost of $1 per minute (a $17 call) to straighten things out. The room was filthy, the bedding worn, the bathroom had tiles coming off the wall and it was infested with roaches. The power went out at midnight. We had to get up early to catch a bus the next morning and lugged our luggage down the stairs in the dark (Its a good thing we had brought head lamps). The front door had been broken in the night and no effort had been made to pick up the glass, so we lugged our luggage over the glass. We had booked and paid for 2 rooms for 2 days later in the week, but cancelled and made other arrangements for our stay. Look elsewhere.
When I arrived at this hotel (late at night) the hotel claimed to have no record of my booking and were full. I do not know if the problem lies with hotels.com or the hotel. All I know is that I had to walk the streets to find an alternative hotel late at night in a strange city. This is simply not acceptable from a safety point of view. To add insult to injury I have now been charged by hotels.com for the room. I have emailed to inform hotels.com of this but have received no reply and now when I go onto the website and click on 'contact us' it takes me to a 'page not found' response. I have also attempted to contact via skype but could not be heard correctly. Please refund my money ASAP and provide an explanation for this appalling service.
Made Expedia booking and payment two days before arrival. When checking in, they told me they had no record of a booking and that they were fully booked and had no room for me. After pressing them hard they magically found my booking saying that it had come in only that morning. On further pushing them, they found that indeed they had a room but it was a higher class room than the one I had booked, and asked for an upgrade payment. I refused, saying that they already took my payment for a basic room and were now committed to giving it to me. They relented and gave me the room that was one class better than the basic one. Having finally negotiated my way in to the hotel, I checked my room. There was some evidence that the sheets and pillowcases had not been changed, the mattress was only a piece of foam, and there was no shower in the bathroom. They kindly provided a bar of soap for use in the bathtub, but no towels or other linens. On the plus side, there were only a few cockroaches and they weren't very large. I was left wondering what the basic room would have looked like!
