"The most beautiful location sitting out on the fjord. The apartment was beautiful, the furniture top class in the kitchen well appointed. The self check in would not let me check in after 3 pm, saying the room wasn’t ready so I had to contact staff via WhatsApp. On checkout, I was emailed a checkout online form which required me to pay an additional sum so I went to the checkout booth to check out via that method and it also told me I owed the same amount of money. I had paid upfront via Expedia and you didn’t have anything else to pay. I did contact them and tell them this was happening and I couldn’t check out and they said just leave your key and go. I wonder how many people actually pay this thinking they owe additional money. There is something to be a bit weary Of. Other than that, this place is the best place I have stayed in Norway by far. I will be back."

"This hotel is in an excellent location perched above the fjord and away from the cruise ship crowds. Our hotel room was amazing. We booked the king bed suite with the fjord view. It was hard to leave the room! We dined at the restaurant in the hotel and enjoyed an amazing meal that Chef Johnny prepared. Amazing experience overall!"

"The front desk staff was amazing and helpful! The breakfast staff were also great - The food was plentiful and restocked often. There was a variety of English, German, and Norwegian breakfast choices - all delicious. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom had a bathtub/shower combination - the sides were a bit high and the floors were slippery. It just required a little extra care getting out. Overall, this was a fabulous hotel base camp for exploring around the fjord for a couple of days."

"We had a view of the river and mountains. Very pretty. The room was comfortable and warm, clean. Very good access from the road and to all the Main Street. There were car chargers located right at the hotel, very convenient. All very good!"

"The room was tiny with no room on either side of the bed. It worked well for a one-night stay for the two of us. Oscar provided an extension cord for a CPAP machine. The breakfast was wonderful and we enjoyed talking with the other guests about the area. We even discovered that we had a mutual connection through ancestral farms in Skjåk. Her ancestors were Bøye and mine are listed as Bøje, which appear to be variations of the same name."

"Such an historic beautiful old hotel in Solvorn, Norway for our last stay before leaving the country. We just so happened to arrive the evening of the biggest storm in the last 25 years and our room was right in front of the ferry/dock to see all the action. As we arrived later in the day we were too exhausted to dine there so they brought us nice sandwiches and champagne upon arrival too."
