Room was spacious and lovely decor. Very comfortable.
This is a lovely old country pub with nice log fires, the rooms are nice clean and warm, they are dog friendly so as a dog owner it’s all you could ask for, after fabulous food you can go and walk it off in the forest, the staff are all nice and friendly, they are very attentive but not overbearing which is fabulous, it is great watching the donkeys walked passed at breakfast, would highly recommend and will be going back again soon
Just about everything was good
Tiny niggles small bed and pay at property is not quite that as payment is taken 48 hrs before stay do much sure you put the card you want to charge on the initial booking with hotels.com.
Awesome location right in the heart of the stunning New Forest. Although it is an 18th century building the room was super well renovated although you better be skinny for the shower! Altogether great!
Great 2 night stay in middle of New Forest.
Traditional Inn with welcoming, friendly & helpful staff.
Room 5 (Knightwood) was modern design with comfy 5' bed & big ensuite shower.
Hearty breakfast was made to order, also self service cereals, yoghurts & juices.
Delicious dinners both evenings.
Although limited parking, arriving ~16:30, found a space both days.
Lovely New Forest location inn, close to Beaulieu. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped, although getting to them requires a steep staircase and a walk across the back of the building. Other than that the bar area and restaurant have a lovey feel to them, and the staff were excellent.
We had an evening meal and breakfast there, both of which were very nice. We plan to stay there again.
Bedroom very clean and big shower room with complimentary toiletries and fresh towels replaced during stay.
Fresh bottled water and beverage making facilities in room also restocked.
All staff cheerful and helpful.
Good choice of breakfast and well cooked to order
Can be a little tight to park when pub busy but didn't have a problem and our room was at front of Inn and would see ponies and cows wander by ...
Great place for walking in forest ,would happily return....
We had an amazing time in the New Forest ! The New Forest inn pub was lovely, they made us feel so welcome, the food and atmosphere was fantastic . The pub is clean and the rooms are lovely.
Greeted by a nice lady in the pub. Stairs to room quite narrow and steep but room very nice and modern. Large TV, nice tea tray with biscuits, nice toiletries to use. Two fans in the room were useful.
Shower very good and bed comfortable too.
Breakfast very good, nice bacon, sausage and eggs, cereal if wanted, toast, tea and coffee. All good!
Went for a walk behind the hotel in the morning and saw some horses grazing.
Staff very hospitable. Gorgeous food. Perfect location for exploring New Forest.

Smack bang in the middle of the New Forest itself, it would have been criminal of me not to explore the surrounding wooded areas as part of a long walk. My room was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The shower helped wash away the day's labors but the bed could have been more comfortable. I dined there on the evening which was ok but for breakfast, the eggs were undercooked and the bacon cooked to the point that you could only identify it via its fingertips. All in all, I would look to stay here again but would perhaps dine elsewhere.
When I first turned up and was taken to the room I was a bit concerned that it would be a bit shabby, the hallway smells and the carpet is filthy, thankfully the bedroom was really nice.
Lovely pub and my dinner was good. The girl checking me in was really friendly and helpful. The thing that really let my stay down was my bedroom was above the kitchen and the noise was terrible. I really wanted an early night but it felt like I was sleeping in the kitchen, the noise went on until 11.30pm. For that reason I would never stay again whilst working as it's too noisy.
