We had an amazingly relaxing stay with Sue at Countisbury lodge. The view from every room is like something a long way away from Devon ! We highly recommend a stay....we will be back !!

Beautiful view.

Lovely comfortable single night stay, great room with stunning views. Absolutely faultless and would recommend to anyone. The perfect hospitality even extended to a very generous lift to our chosen restaurant for dinner by car. Breakfast was delicious. Thank you so much.

Great location, friendly staff and good value.

Only stayed for one night but could quite easily have stayed for longer. Great part of the world and the Countisbury Lodge is ideally placed to take advantage of the wonderful district views. Very friendly service and good local area knowledge. A clean and pleasant place to stay and the breakfast was sensational.

Wonderful views and hospitality

This small hotel is a short, steep walk from the village of Lynmouth. It's perched high above the Lyn valley with fantastic views to the harbour and across the Bristol channel. Mike and Sue's hospitality is outstanding; we had a very enjoyable brief stay and will definitely be back.

My God, what a view....

The views & sounds were stunning. our host for the week, Sue & Mike were top notch, they made us feel very welcome and at home... Our room was very cosy and the views, well what can one say about the views, Stunning..!! This was such a relaxing experience I would not hesitate in recommending a stay here. Sue, cooked us a lovely breakfast eachday, to set us up for walking, and she had a very knowledgeable in the surrounding areas which was very helpful. ( Thanks for the Marmite...) The walk down the hill into lynmouth was always a joy and always rewarded with a Cider...

Great place to stay.

The service was great, the owners were lovely. The outside of the hotel was beautiful and the views were amazing but the owners have only been there two months and the room had not been updated yet that was the only downfall, once this is done it will be great!

Very attentive host, views!

Perfect for access to Lynmouth which is a lovely town, walks and the Victorian railway. Very attentive host Sue and lovely breakfast, big room with fantastic view. Would go again, great value.
