disappointing hotel
Hotels want foreigners to visit but refuse to speak English! Reception staff just kept repeating only Arabic no English only Arabic. If you’re not bilingual then why be a receptionist without the non Arabs staff the hotel wouldn’t prosper.

I'd prefer not to complain, because I feel embarrassed that I was a guest if nabiyyallal (saw). The hotel is close to the haram (gate 7), but females have to walk further down to gate 13, if they want to pray. I was not fond of the black mold in the bathroom and the entire time I was there, the bathroom had no face towels. I was told the reason was that they were doing laundry. Also, the iftaar didn't include a wide range of foods. Very limited, so kids sometimes won't find much to it.

Bad front staff, no internet, and poor condition
I’ve stayed with Golden Tulip hotels before in Oman and Jordan so I expected certain qualities and standard. This is by far the worst hotel I stayed in a very long time. Hardly no internet, staff don’t speak English, and nobody wants to help despite repeated pleas for help. Really disappointed and made my trip into a very stressful one. I couldn’t do anything because there was no internet for three days

Overall hotel is so so. Would not stay again. Rooms are very dirty. Carpets are unclean. To mask the odours the hotel is heavily fragranced with bakhour. Bathroom tub was filthy. Had to call Housekeeping to clean it at check in. Even then it was moldy. Lighting not working. Wifi horrible and pretty much nonexistent. Amenities all there but overall, not worth it. Much better options are available.

Great stay
I booked a quad room with half board. Overall stay was excellent. Found parking which they charged 30 riyals per day. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent and plenty variety. The hotel is around 5 mins walk to haram gate 7. For the ladies to go for roze mubarak its quite far around 10-15min. But overall excellent stay. Would definitely recommend.

Nice Hotel near Haram and Bazaar
We enjoyed our stay at Golden Tulip. Front desk staff was cooperative and did a smooth check-in. Bell boy brought our luggage to room quickly and explained AC/lights functions in arabic, we understood most of it though. Enough lifts and all were operational, not crowded during prayer times. We requested late check-out with Manager Mr. Zafar due to evening return flight and he extended check-out time till 3pm.

A good place for small stay
The building and furniture was new and in very good condition, bathrooms were spacious and with pretty much with all toiletries you could ask for and only thing letting me down about this place was slow house keeping and not filling tea, milk and water after house keeping and had to ask for water every time by calling them.
