Easy and fast checkin. Key card property and room access so you can come and go as you please. Accommodating reception/manager. Quiet room as per my request. I will stay there again. Aircon works great too.

I was expecting something MUCH more basic, like the hostels in Mexico, but this was just as nice as any budget hotel. For an extended stay, it would have been too small for me, but was not small. The location is fantastic, just 100 yards from Puerta del Sol.

A great little room in Sol
The hotel could not have been more centrally-located. Everything was spotlessly clean, branded for the hotel, and the service was stellar. Never underestimate the value of having a refrigerator in your room. Not only would I stay again, I actually decided to keep my room here for my entire two-and-a-half week trip.

Fui a passeio, com a esposa. Hotel muito bem localizado, em frente ao Museo del Jamón, ao lado de estação de metrô Sol. Perto de tudo. Quarto espaçoso e bem arrumado. Ótimo custo beneficio.

Convient hostal
Very convenient hostal, close to main interesting places. We had a room in the inside part of the building, so we didn’t hear the noise of the street. But we could hear the other guests talking, taking showers, using the bathroom, etc in the hall or in their rooms which would wake us up during the night. The mattresses were not very comfortable (too soft). The staff was friendly. But check well what they charge you at the end of the stay, because there was a 4€ difference with the Hotels.com bill. They corrected it without any problem. Overall I would say it’s a good, inexpensive place if noise isn’t a problem for you.

Excelent hostel in the heart of Madrid
Went for a couple of days to meet Family who were on vacation in Madrid, the Hotel was extremely convinient, for a tourist, it has everything I needed, confortable bed, clean and crisp sheets and towels, lots of amenities for a Hostel! amazing service for value of money.

Clean room, adequate facilities, close to centre of madrid. On a very busy road so noisy at all times, even throughout the night and early hours of morning, with no hotel area to sit and relax there were few restful times at the hotel.

Great Value for Location and Standard of room and service provided. Room small of course but perfectly equipped with air con well cleaned and very clean bathroom. Wifi worked very well. English tv channel would be nice. Only big negative for my room was it was not possible to open the room windows due to the very strong cooking smells from the restaurants at street level (windows open into enclosed shaft - not uncommon is Spain. Fortunately as the air con worked so well I survived

Six days stay
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Hostal del Sol. It is clean and safe and near the attractions in Madrid. There are lots of restaurants that are walking distance from the hostal and the Sol train station is a two minute walk. We will stay here again next time we visit Madrid.

Tried to refuse a confirmed booking when I arrived
Tried to refuse a confirmed booking when I arrived as they were "fully booked". As a single woman traveller this was not appreciated especially as I had printed details of the confirmed booking with me. When I advised them that if they did not have appropriate accommodation for me I would have to advise the police suddenly two spare rooms appeared. They initially tried to sleep me opposite the reception which would have been totally inappropriate and noisy especially as I had requested a "quiet" room, After this suddenly another room appeared at the back of the hotel, which suited my needs. Although the room was suitable and well provisioned unfortunately the fact that they tried to throw a lone woman traveller out on the streets without accommodation when a conference was on in town (so alternative hotels would have proven difficult to find) certainly was not appreciated. As such I would not book with them again.

Ottimo Hostal in posizione centralissima!
L'Hostal Centro Sol si trova a due passi dalla famosissima Puerta del Sol di Madrid. La struttura è ben tenuta, dispone di ascensore con reception al 2° piano, mentre la mia camera era al 4° piano. Personale molto gentile e disponibile, camera di adeguate dimensioni, pulitissima e ben arredata e con tutti i confort, compresa l'aria condizionata, TV e il frigorifero! Cambio degli asciugamani giornaliero se posizionati nella vasca da bagno. Presente anche giornalmente il set di cortesia da bagno. Assolutamente consigliato se state pensando di visitare Madrid. Molto buono il rapporto qualità - prezzo.

L’hôtel est très bien situé à côté de "Sol". Juste en bas, de bons restaurants sont disponibles pour petit déjeuner et diner. Il y a un permanence 24/24h ce qui rassure niveau sécurité. Les chambres sont un peu vieillottes et le lit un peu petit mais qualité/prix c'est correct. Niveau bruit on entendait aucun bruit de la rue juste un peu la salle de bain de la chambre d'à côté. Je recommande cet hôtel pour un séjour en plein centre à prix raisonnable.

ótima localização, no centro de madrid. sÓ É ESTRANHO POIS O HOTEL fica em um local muito dificil de acesso por carro. Tipo um calçadão, não pode passar carro, o que torna dificil pegar um carro de aplicativo. Também fica no segundo andar de um prédio, não tem portaria 24 horas, mas ficaria de novo. Atendente muito atenciosa e prestativa.
