Apart from our safari trip (which was arranged by the owner) we didn’t leave the hotel, which suited us because the food provided at the hotel is delicious. "The manager, Nandu, was really helpful in setting up morning safari for us on short notice after our previous accommodation fell through. The breakfast and dinner were hearty and super affordable. It’s not exactly 5 or even 3 star accommodation (AC leaked onto the bed and the bathroom had some flies), but for value for the money it’s a good pick. We saw tons of elephants on safari."

"Unfortunately I am not able to review Dil Lanka Safari Resort, because when we arrived, the manager was very surprised to see us and said that he had no booking from us (three people, two rooms). Ultimately it was resolved (with help from our Sri Lankan driver) and we were given our money back (booking was prepaid). The grounds looked nice, so you could take your chances, but make sure you do nót prepay your reservation."
