"We had a wonderful stay at Quinte Verde Sintra. Hotel (or Bed and Breakfast?) grounds are wonderful and you can see the Moorish Castle from the pool - breathtaking views!
You do need a car though or Uber (or both if you are not comfortable driving around the Sintra palaces in narrow and busy streets).

"Reception staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was pretty basic, kitchenette although no tea cups, no air con, small shower and shower head was broken it dribbled water constantly so we had to leave a towel to stop the sound. The hotel is based in an extremely quiet area so if you’re looking for nightlife or a tourist area this is not the place for you! We stayed for 3 nights which in this particular area was enough. "We are so glad that we inserted a night at the coast, into our busy vacation. Arribas Sintra Hotel has a modern vibe, an incredible pool with a back drop of the ocean. Seeing Cabo da Roca in the near distance and a beautiful sunset was wonderful. The staff was helpful, rooms were large and clean. There was a gym, as well. "This place was wonderful. Beautifully decorated, relaxing and comfortable. The view was breath taking. It was a walking distance to the beach and excellent restaurants. The walk by the cliff facing the ocean was relaxing. One can enjoy the sunset every day. Beyond all, the staff not only was friendly but they did all they could to make my stay as comfortable as possible. They really paid attention to detail and requests. They were so nice and willing to talk that I decided to stay one more day and relax. I felt at home with friends. Hopefully, I will be back one day. "
