"Historic timber frame building (16-17th century?) but nicely renovated with all amenities. Very spacious rooms, ours had an interesting view. Super friendly hostess, fluent in English, good breakfast available for reasonable fee. Convenient to underground parking in town center and near all the sights (Apocalypse Tapestry worth the trip on its own!) Note that there is a steep wooden staircase in central atrium to rooms if that is a problem-- but for us added to experience of going back in time."

"This is a high-quality, very efficient hotel within a five-minute walk of the train station and transport hub. It is exactly the opposite of a boutique hotel - nothing quirky (or annoying). "Spotlessly clean room with a rack for my suitcase and somewhere to put unused cushions so as to keep them off the floor. Not a lot of interaction with staff but what there was was pleasant and helpful. I guess my biggest concern was what would happen if the lift broke down as I certainly couldn’t have managed the stairs. No tea (or other hot drink) making facilities, but that’s not the end of the world."

"I received a warm welcome from Celine, who spoke very good English, and she advised on where to eat, what to do and what not to miss during my short visit to Angers. The hotel is very conveniently located for the station and a 10 minute walk from the chateau. My room was very clean and comfortable and I slept well. It was quiet. Breakfast featured a variety of fresh fruits, breads, croissants and cereals, hard boiled eggs, ham and cheese, accompanied by good filter coffee. I was very satisfied!"
