"We had a water villa with a pool and felt extremely comfortable from start to finish. Every single person greeted us with a smile. Mr. Iqbal's room service/cleaning was amazing. He was always very kind and even asked us if we had any special requests. Plus, whenever he had enough towels left over, he made something cool out of them, like some cute Swans for example and made the bathtub really lovely :) The food was excellent. My wife and I didn't eat a single thing during the week (and we tried almost everything) that we didn't like. The chefs, Mr. Radwan and Mr. Lotfi, were incredible – they made us unique, extremely delicious, and lovingly prepared meals, elevating our stay from a 10/10 to a 12/10. Literally. Neither my wife or me ever had the experience of such amazing chefs making us special meals and I can't find enough words to thank them. They made our stay unforgettable. At the bar, the Bayrouge, Vita, the new Indonesian lady, Shafan, and others were always extremely accommodating, smiling, and good for friendly and funny small talks. We laughed a lot with them and loved their cocktails and mocktails. The snacks at the bar were also very good. Mr. Ahmed, the front desk manager, always made us feel like we could approach him at any time if we had any questions or concerns. And he, like everyone else, was very accommodating and extremely nice. All in all, I can highly recommend the Varu to everyone – it certainly won't be the last time my wife and I stayed there."

"This is a fabulous resort we travelled as a couple to the Maldives expecting it to be a very quiet remote but beautiful location. We actually loved the music around the pool in the morning the activities such as aqua gym and 15 minutes free paddleboard there are families here young old the food is great with lots of variety and the cocktails arent sugar they are well made With the bar staff being really responsive to your needs meal times are great too. I would highly recommend this hotel if you fancy going to the Maldives but having a bit of entertainment whilst you are there too. The location is incredible, its only 15 minutes speedboat from the main land. Extra excursions are expensive, but if you were here for two weeks it would be worth planning a few in. "

"Stay was amazing . It’s well designed and well planned all inclusive plan . It includes meals , specialty restaurants and excursions. Staff is polite and welcoming. Overall a smaller resort than others with a good friendly feel. Great views, nice and quiet and excellent for relaxation."

"I don't understand the people who give less than 4-star reviews to this holiday destination. They must be nitpickers who expect to have the conditions from One and Only Reethi Rah (the neighbouring island) at the prices from the Summer Island. Come on, you could stay there only one hour with the money you paid for two weeks at the Summer Island. All is more than reasonable at the Summer Island, I mean the location, the meals, the staff, snorkelling and diving opportunities. "
