Almost as good as hoped
Ok then; picked it ahead of V Colombus because we prefer small hotels with character - and this one is meant to be 4* not 3*. But; road noise noticeable, taps in bathroom are old, we had a half-width balcony, and the breakfast 'hot' selection wasn't (for any of 5 days). This suggests need for hands-on 'tlc' by management?

Fantastic Staff and Breakfast
The staff at the Bahia were super friendly and breakfast was great. The location is also good, being close to some great restaurants. Overall, we had a great stay.

Disappointing stay.
I have stayed in this hotel many times but left this time with the feeling we wont be back. There didnt appear to be enough staff in the restaurant and as such they looked harassed trying to sit people at tables, set tables, clear plates and restock food.The manager/owner came into breakfast but rather than mucking in and lending a hand he got himself a coffee and left . Weekends seem to be the owners time for entertaining family and friends and as such any relaxing time that paying visitors want by the pool is overshadowed by non paying friends taking up sunbeds and making a noise. Reception, bar and restaurant staff recognised us straight away as we have stayed so many times but the owner never once made any effort to speak. We only had one drink in the bar but a sangria with no fruit etc is poor quality and not what you would expect.

Great hotel for couples.
We have stayed at this hotel numerous times. More suited to couples as it is small and quirky. Very close to the beach but also has a good sized swimming pool. We stayed bed and breakfast. Breakfast is very relaxed and has plenty of options on offer. You help yourself to teas and coffees and the food is buffet service. Staff are excellent, especially the young lady on reception who is so friendly. I only have 2 small gripes. 1. For the first time ever towels had been placed on sunbeds to reserve them. Something thats never been done previously. Towels were often on beds for hours with no one lying on them. These should be removed after a certain amount of time. 2. The towels provided in rooms are not the best. They dont really dry your body.

Lovely hotel for couples and adults.
A lovely quirky hotel, ideally for couples or adults. A warm welcome from the reception staff and friendly bar and dining room staff. Really great location near to the beach and a short walk to local restaurants. My only negative point would be the bathroom towels need replaced as they don't seem to dry you.

Another lovely stay at Hotel Bahia
This is the second time that I've stayed at Hotel Bahia and I had a great time. It's a beautiful, small and intimate hotel. The decor is old-fashioned and quirky and very rustic. The rooms are furnished with different furniture in each room and it doesn't always match or fit, but that's part of the charm. Will happily return again.

The garden with swimming pool is absolutely stunning. Rooms are slightly aged, cleanliness of rooms are not at very high standard, plus there is a second building next to the main one with rooms which are not advertised or pictures are not available and seen anywhere - those rooms are very low standard - absolutely not applying to a 4* hotel.

Lovely hotel in a nice location. The staff, Pau, Luf and “Mr Liverpool 😀” were fabulous. The rooms maybe could do with a bit of an update but overall the hotel is beautifully presented. We stayed half board and the food was varied and nicely cooked. The Mallorca wine is well priced and very drinkable. The pool is not busy and has plenty of shade/sunny areas. The terrace and main rooms have an eclectic mix of artwork and lighting and are nice and cool in the midday heat. The hotel is nicely situated at the quieter end of town and there are local Spar shops and bars to suit all tastes. Overall a lovely place to stay.

It's a small traditional hotel with friendly staff and beautiful decorations throughout the hotel. Enjoyed the intimacy and peaceful atmosphere. That said, it's next to the main road so if you lie by the pool facing the road, you will hear the cars, lorries and buses. it didn't really bother us though.

Pros: we had an excellent stay at this hotel! Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived early, so they let us store our bags safely in a locked storage closet and gave us pool towels so that we can take advantage of the pool. It was a real treat! Breakfast staff was very efficient in setting up and clearing tables. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Cleaning staff was very quick in cleaning our room - it was usually done while we were having breakfast. By the time we were done with breakfast, our room was super clean - as if done by some cleaning ninjas! The outdoor pool is large, and you can order food and drinks by the pool, at reasonable prices. We loved the location of the hotel, as it was within close walking distance of plenty of shops and restaurants. The beach is just across the street, and there is a small plaza with a carousel and a bungee cord trampoline. There are playgrounds for young and older children all around the beach area. The area seems to cater to lots of German tourists, but plenty of people speak English as well. Cons: the bath towels are a bit small, and they don't dry very well. I wouldn't be opposed to reusing my bath towel for one to three days, but it would be helpful to have more hooks either in the bathroom or elsewhere in the hotel room. Some problems noted with the shower head: in our room, the sprayer was not adjustable; in another room, the cord to the shower head wasn't long enough to mount to wall.

Amazing staff. Old fashion values ans family run Very attentive and polite Brilliant position and so near the beach and near the best steak house on the island! Lovely food at lunch and the pool side area is gorgeous. The family take great pride in the garden and looking after their staff. The hotel maintains old charms and the decor is old fashioned and charming The beds are a little hard , and the air con a little tired but all in all a brilliant time for a really good price. We will be returning next year

Our initial impression was bad when we arrived at 22:30 and were told the hotel did not know what time we were arriving despite me emailing the hotel and receiving a reply. There are 24 steps up to the hotel and more to the rooms and no porterage. We booked a 215 sq ft room via Expedia (payment was made to Expedia who confirmed by email that our larger room had been booked) but the hotel only has 3 types of rooms, standard, triple (family) and single so don't waste your money by booking anything else. The hotel is close to a busy road and we found the traffic noise intrusive. Usual hotel problems regarding sun beds and not enough umbrellas. We booked half board, there weren't many if us and I can understand why. Food was hit and miss, from undercooked chicken to dried out fish and definitely not 4 star. The staff were pleasant and hard working. We have been to Paguera many times but will not return to the Bahia

A great hotel with really good service. Everyone at the front desk was incredibly helpful and easy to deal with. A nice, quiet hotel with a great pool and deck, very close to the beach. Breakfast was good. Rooms were a decent size with a small balcony and bathroom was a decent size too. Decoration and styling was perhaps a bit dated, but there is nothing to complain about. Finding the entrance of this hotel with a car is difficult. There is no place to park while you check in and must find a street spot. One you check in, there is parking without the grounds. Decent wifi and storage space in room. I would still recommend this hotel for the service and location

Boutique style hotel suitable for adults/couples.
Absolutely love this quirky boutique style hotel. Relaxed and informal but really suitable for adult only holidays. Breakfast is available from 8am until 11am so no rush in the mornings. The hotel is near to the beach and the centre of Paguera.

A very unique hotel, small but offers everything you require. The staff and hotel management make your hotel stay a pleasure. The rooms are very adequate we were very satisfied with the overall quality of the rooms. The cleanliness of the hotel is exceptional. We are looking forward to returning to the Hotel Bahia.

Due to extraction noise,we needed to change our room within hours of arriving as my wife suffers from tinnitus, the staff were very helpful in this matter and whilst the new room was smaller we didn't experience the same noise problem. I enjoyed the fact that it was like going back in time to a more relaxed place with lots of character and charm. The indoor pool was very useful as the weather was a bit changeable. The outdoor pool although not heated was fine for a swim and the beach was only a couple of minutes away. There were plenty of shops and restaurants close by which was good as we only ate in the restaurant on the first night and the food was average to say the least. We ate lunch there on one occasion which was very good, but as there was a ban on wearing tailored shorts in any food area at night we ate in town every other night. I would happily stay again but would eat in town. Great staff.

This property was filled with personality. Tastefully decorated in a traditional style. All the things you need including great sauna and indoor heated pool. As the property is older some ongoing maintenance issues did some what annoy. The sauna tripped the power whiles in use and I had to finish my sauna early. Light globe in my room on the blink, flashing like a beacon and I did get bitten by a spider in the room. I guess its been shut for much of the winter. Manage to convince reception to supply insect spray.

Excellent location
Beach straight across road. Perfect location for anyone taking part in challenge mallorca triathlon. Only down side is they have no lifts making it a challenge to carry luggage up 2 flights of stairs.

Brilliant
great hotel and a perfect location. The hotels has bags of old world charm and service levels. Some have commented it looks a little tired and dated, don’t believe a word ! this is a true boutique hotel, family run and packed to bursting with antiquities alongside some truly stunning modern art. I have stayed here on three separate trips with my wife and more recently our daughter and we find the hotel quirky and unquie but whilst remaining very service focused and stylish. Don’t go changing Hotel Bahia you are a gem

A relaxing place to stay.
Lovely people at the Hotel Bahia. Great place for some relaxation / peace and quiet (compared to Magaluf) Only negatives would be wearing of shorts not allowed for evening meal and our particular room was next to a road which is cobbled and although not much traffic passing through, there is a rumble as the vehicles pass by - if you prefer to close the patio doors / windows and put on the A/c, you will not notice this. Also, this does depend on what room you get as the majority of rooms are situated away from the road. Pool is really pleasant / peaceful and the long sandy beach is a few minutes walk away. There is a kids fairground at night, next to the beach, which will keep the children amused. Trampolines, bouncy castles, a fairground carousel, hook a duck etc (all fee paying). There is a supermarket next door to the hotel and the area is good for shopping and restaurants.

Although the pool area and gardens were very pleasant, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the pillows awful and the towels just slid off you. These things are basic comfort and this ruined it for us.

Hotel very nice with great pool area and bar terrace. Very reasonable priced and close to all amenities that Paguera has to offer, e.g. beaches, shops, bus to Palma. I had a really enjoyable week here in late July 2018, and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to friends & family.

Paradise!!
Highly recommend this beautiful, unique, family-owned, quaint hotel without hesitation and would stay again in a heartbeat!! My husband and I LOVED it. Located about 20 minutes by car from the main port city of Palma, and about 30 minutes from the airport, we found the hotel and little town absolutely charming. The hotel itself has everything you could want: nicely appointed rooms, restaurant, pool, sauna, bar and spa. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel and you can take a bus to other villages or Palma. The gorgeous beach is a 2 min walk across street and there are many restaurants, shops, and bars to choose from, all within walking distance. A convenience store is a 1 min walk. Can't say enough about this wonderful hotel and would definitely book there again if we are lucky enough to go to Majorca again!!

Many of the people we met staying at the Bahia come back year after year and we can see why. The hotel is not the finest but it wraps itself around you delivering peace, quiet and a holiday to cherish. We are joining the many that return year after year.

A side twin room offers a quieter stay. The front facing rooms whilst have a potentially better view have the road noise and some are above any entertainment during the evenings. Walls are not soundproofed so if you have inconsiderate neighbours this can be a pain. The pool is lovely. Whilst often busy around it, few people in it which was lovely! There is a no ball or lilo rule although the former was ignored a couple of times. There is supposed to be a 'no towel bagsie' for sun loungers however a few people did this...from 9am not arriving to take their place until 3.30 sometimes! Towels are changed daily in the rooms. Pool towels are also provided (but not changed). The massage service is excellent however you need cash on the day which wasn't made clear at reception.

Our first impression was not favourable as access to the hotel was ~20 steps with heavy cases and no lift to first floor. The room was small. But the hotel grew on us as the décor was lovely and the staff pleasant and helpful. Service around the pool was exemplary and nothing was too much trouble. We were Bed and Breakfast but had one evening meal which was expensive but service very good. Breakfast was always good with plenty of choice for cold buffet and hot food on request (limited).

Excellent couples hotel close to the beach.
My husband and I stayed for 4 nights. Reception staff are helpful and spoke good English even though the resort is predominately German. The rooms were perfect for a couple with wifi and beach towels provided for your use. Toiletries were also supplied. There is an indoor and outdoor pool with plenty of sun beds and shaded seating areas. The hotel bar was very pleasant and prices very reasonable. Breakfast was included in our stay and was delicious. The hotel is a stones throw from the beach and in an excellent location. We will definitely be back. One tiny criticism is the beds were too firm for our liking.

Lovely quiet hotel. Great staff.
Hotel Bahia was a quiet hotel. Rooms were also quiet at night. Great pool with a bar. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice of cereals, cold meats, cheeses, fruit, yoghurts and so much more. The delightful head waiter asked us if we wanted different cooked food from what was already there to order. Nothing was too much trouble in this hotel. All the staff were really good at their jobs. The rooms were a little tired, but it didn’t spoil our stay at all. Rooms at front had much bigger balconies. We were able to park at the hotel but only 4 cars could get in. There is ample free parking in the streets. The beach is over the road, about a three minute walk. There are many shops and restaurants very close by. The hotel gave us dinner on the first night for 50% off and it was good at €12.50 per person but perhaps not good enough for the usual set price of €25. Food was good though. Sedate dining room and very well run. An enjoyable stay set in lovely grounds. Would go again. No lift however, but staff always very willing to help.

Beautiful hotel, great location
Close to the beach, shops and restaurants/bars. Beautifully decorated with plenty of space. Outdoor space and gardens are stunning. The only warning is there is no elevator! This only causes trouble when you are arriving and departing with luggage, to compensate the staff are helpful.

Hotel Bahía our haven.
We enjoyed this hotel so much,everything was perfect.a really nice quiet hotel,with very helpful staff.Lots going on out and about,restaurants,bars and shops,beach is close,clean and very well looked after.we really like Paguera and will definitely return to hotel Bahía.
