Not a great stay but a good dinner
We stayed for just a night, there was no rest as the noise from the restaurant came clearly through the walls and floor. The pictures are very deceiving, the tv is awkwardly pushed to the side of the couch insead of in front (you cant move it either) and a wall inbetween the rooms makes it hard to be seen from the bed. The bed was comfortable and clean, it was just a strange set up. the bathroom barely fit us, looks like it used to be a closet. Maybe a different room would have a better set up? we left at 8am and there was no one available for check out. Like a ghost town. The restaurant downstairs was amazing, the food was worth every penny. I would eat there again but would not stay in the rooms.
Sheets were clean but room was musty.
TV had to stay here as the cable cord was 1 foot long.
The bathroom was the size of a closet. walls on each side of the toilet.

Good afternoon, Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, the room that you reserved has the smallest bathroom. The building year is 1745, so there was no plumbing in the rooms so all of that needed to be added when we made the rooms into suites including a sitting room and bathroom. If you wanted to come stay again, we suggest booking one of our larger suites as the bathroom size is also larger. The 3 suites with the full size beds (room size that you were in), do have the smallest bathrooms. We are happy to hear that you did enjoy dinner. Thank you again!

The property has the friendliest staff, who make you feel that you are a treasured member of their family. The hotel has an beautiful "Olde World" feel - the rooms are large, with a generous lounge area furnished with comfortable, old-style tables and lounges, with plenty of room to sit and talk with friends, family or colleagues. The bed was also a tall "Olde World" bed which was very comfortable, and ensured I slept like a rock every night. Breakfast every morning was fresh - again with wonderfully friendly staff, who quickly learned my likes and brought my "usual" to me without being asked - particularly if I had a busy morning with conference calls. While I didn't get the chance to eat at the restaurant this time, it is clearly very popular in the area. When I arrived, the carpark was basically full of restaurant patrons' cars, with more arriving. I did sit at a table in the bar area for a while working on a presentation with a colleague one evening. The bar area smells wonderfully of the wood fire that we are told burns every night during winter. And again, the wonderful staff ensure that you have what you need, and yet are not interrupted from what you are doing. I am hoping to be sent back to our customer in Malvern very soon so I can stay at this hotel again - hopefully for a little longer next time - and definitely long enough that I can spend at least one evening dining in the restaurant.

The Wonderful General Warren Inn
As a couple whose main interest when traveling is history, the General Warren Hotel was a perfect choice. We knew beforehand that the restaurant would not be open. No matter, we had the back deck to ourselves and enjoyed some much deserved peace and quiet. The innkeeper took good care to assure our comfort. The bed was immensely comfortable and we had all the amenities.

Wonderful room and lovely outdoor dining!! Only wish the shower was a bit larger... bathrooms in historic homes, a common compromise. Customer Service friendly, accommodating, and delightful! Will definitely stay here again!!

Unique, historical hotel with personal service
I have now stayed here two times and love the personal, quaint, unique rooms- each one large, but always different- and the personal, attentive service of the staff. Great historical heritage, only 8 rooms and a very good restaurant.

Historic Bed and Breakfast
The bed and breakfast was very charming and historic and looked very pretty, but the suite we stayed in was too cold! They kept the air conditioning cranked up, which made it freezing, and if you wanted it adjusted, you had to ask the staff. The staff were helpful, the food was pretty good (we ate in the restaurant on premises), but know that they serve a very meager Continental breakfast. It’s strictly coffee, juice and a muffin or some yogurt. There is no choice of cereal, or toast. Overall, although a pretty place, I don’t know if I would return because the room temperature was uncomfortable, there was dust on the walls in our room, and also a musty smell in the hallway when you first walk into the inn.

This was perhaps the best hotel in dining experience I’ve had in years. I wonderful staff, a beautiful venue, and extraordinary room. If you’re looking for the typical American plastic forks, plastic spoons, plastic knife, in and out experience, this is not the place for you. If you want a Fast food style hotel, this is not the place for you. But if you enjoy some culture and some European styled hospitality and dining experience you can’t beat this. Bravo to the staff bravo to the chef.

Excellent Historic Inn
This historic Inn is small and charming. The size adds to its feel of authenticity. The suite I stayed in was very well done and very comfortable. The staff is very helpful and also efficient. The Inn has an excellent restaurant and a tavern. The food ranges from traditional including regional dishes to the most current food trends.
