"Salamanca was just a stopping point for us in our way to Madrid. I am SO glad we did. This little walkable city was one of my favorite places in our 3 weeks of Spain and Portugal. I can’t say enough about the NH Collection Salamanca! It’s old but beautiful and the staff is top notch! The location can’t be beat and breakfast was great! We definitely hope to make it back for more than one night. "

"Nice hotel- but for the money I’m not too sure- seems like most of the money has been spent on the reception and communal areas. The room felt a little tired. Some wallpaper starting to peel and the furniture getting a little dated. I emailed asking for a parking quote but no reply- until 2 days after I’d checked out! "Junior suite was spacious and comfortable. Nice bathroom with lots of marble and good lighting. "The view from the hotel was stunning. The room was a good size with a two sink bathroom and good shower. However, there was a used towel left behind the door in the bathroom and crumbs on the occasional table. Otherwise it was made up properly. Like other hotels I have been staying in Spain there was no tea/coffee making facilities . I would have expected slippers and a robe in a property of this type. The reception and bar staff were friendly and helpful."
