Beatiful location, right on the beach with surf and kitesurf rental and lessons just around the corner. As a whole, the hotel is in a bit of a disappointing state. The outside areas are OK, although beach chairs et cetera are clearly not the newest. The rooms are very simple, with old mattresses and bathrooms in a bad state. The seaview rooms have the view as a bonus of course, but the non-seaview rooms give you a bit of a prison cell feel. In general, the food is good, although the waiting time gets a bit long sometimes. However, the included 'continental breakfast' is a joke: a flew tiny slices of roasted bread, some butter and jam, not-too-good a cup of coffee and some juice. You pay extra for more beakfast options. The beach bar is great, with very good cocktails although the staff gets a bit overworked when it's busy.
When we checked in, something must have gone wrong with our reservartion, since they expected only one guest and have therefore reserved a room with only one bed. After lengthy discussions with the staff (which were hampered by the fact that they did not speak a single word of English) and showing them the original Expedia reservation stating 'two adults' finally they arranged a larger room for us. However, since this was a seaview room, we had to pay extra.
